After closing for 2 weeks for an interior refurb the pub now has a fresh and clean new look. The creation of a proper snug is part of the change and is available for private hire for small gatherings or family occasions. The rear barn has also undergone refurbishment and is now a wonderful room dating back to the 15th Century with oak beams and flagstone floor folding doors open out on to the rear courtyard and river Stour beyond. The barn forms part of the restaurant but can also be made available for small functions and parties of up to 20 - 25 people.

    My third visit here but the first with the tide in! We were treated to an amazing view and very copious portions of delicious food. The staff were amazing, efficient and extremely friendly. Special mention to Renata who chatted and joked with us and insisted we come back soon. A lovely place to come with free parking in a beautiful spot. Will have to try a hotel stay next!

    Beautiful, vibrant and amazing food!! Top that with excellent service and you are in for a meal to remember. Try the seafood linguini if you are having a hard time choosing... and don't forget the dessert; even my "don't really like sweets" -companion cleared her plate!!
