My wife and I visited The Ivy in Cheltenham last night with two friends, and what a fantastic experience it was from start to finish! The service was absolutely impeccable, from the warm welcome we received at the door to the moment we left. Every member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome, and the attention to detail throughout the evening was exceptional. The food was simply outstanding – genuinely some of the best I have ever eaten. Beautifully presented, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. A real credit to the kitchen team. If I were to be slightly critical, the drinks were a little on the pricey side, and the restaurant could have been a couple of degrees warmer. However, we understood there had been power outages earlier in the day, so this was entirely understandable and certainly didn’t detract from an otherwise wonderful evening. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and one that absolutely deserves five stars. We will definitely be returning and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Ivy Cheltenham to anyone looking for exceptional food, first-class service and a memorable evening out. Well done to the entire team!

Great meal! Simple dishes, first class ingredients, skilfully prepared and beautifully presented. The service was charming and efficient too. And all very reasonably priced. It was a bit crowded and noisy, but to be expected in the middle of the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. An excellent experience all round. I wish we’d discovered this place years ago! We will be back…

First time visiting Lumiere yesterday and I have to say what a lovely time we had. From the greeting we received as we walked in, through to the end of the fantastic meal the experience was outstanding. As for the food, we've eaten in some top rated restaurants all over the country and this was en par with anything we've had anywhere. From the very first canapé which was literally a work of art to the last course, the damson soufflé every course was beautiful. The most difficult part of lunch was when we were asked which course was the best, such a tough question when they were all of this standard, I suppose it just boils down to which one resonated with your particular palate the most. For me it was the Cornish sea bass, simply outstanding, flavour combinations where every element of the dish had a part to play and delivered in spades. My wife's favourite was the duck, complete with duck liver parfait encased in white chocolate !! it certainly played tricks on the tastebuds. Special mention must also go to the palate cleanser signature Tequila Slammer, a little bit of theatre which was super refreshing half way through the meal. Suffice to say we will be returning to Lumiere as we cant wait to see how the menu changes through the coming seasons. Thankyou everyone at Lumiere, a treat not to be missed

Not cheap, but the food was excellent and service likewise. The only slight downside is that ceilings are low and the music volume a little noisy - if you have any hearing deficit, conversation can become tricky. The upside wins, IMHO.
