We went for the limited 'lunch' menu and the food was very good (own made pate, delicious soup, fishcake as good as ever). Our server was perfect. We weren't rushed at all. Everything was great; can't wait to go again.

Enormous portions of Sunday roast! Nicely cooked meat and good selection of vegetables all well cooked and presented, topped with a huge Yorkshire pudding. Too full to sample the dessert menu. Attentive staff, would recommend for a Sunday lunch.

Had a lovely afternoon spent with a friend. Arrived at 4:30 and it was quite empty but there was some lovely background music which made it feel warm and inviting. We left just after 9pm after a couple of bottles of wine, some lovely food (we chose a mixture of small plates rather than a large meal each). The restaurant was full and there was a lovely atmosphere. The food was incredible, the staff were attentive and friendly and the ambience was lovely. A great addition to Hertford.
