In February 2022, the renowned British-Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare CBE RA, and project architect India Mahdavi transformed the Gallery with a new installation of artworks and interiors. Shonibare’s artist-conceived vision presented a new sunshine-yellow setting designed by Mahdavi, marking a new culture-defining chapter for sketch in its 20th year. Using applique and embroidery techniques on richly dyed fabrics, Shonibare illuminates the influence of African traditions on European conceptions of our modern-day world.

Tucked away down Dean Street amongst the hustle and the hipsters is the Pierre Victoire, one of Soho’s favourite dining institutions. This little haunt has been serving up rustic French cuisine to loyal regulars for nearly 3 decades, and this is still one of London’s favourite places for date nights and cosy pre-theatre meals. Part Provencal, part Art Nouveau, the dining room at Pierre Victoire is decorated with whitewashed walls, chalkboard menus, a vintage piano, eclectic artworks, untreated wooden floorboards and wine bottles stuffed with drippy candles, and the wholesome home-style cuisine and moreish wine is all delightfully affordable. Another great meal at Andrew Edmunds. Our table was very early and we were slightly concerned that it might be a bit uncomfortable, but even as the first people there it was very welcoming and relaxed. The food was interesting and delicious. The wine list continues to be wide-ranging and very well-priced, and the atmosphere is convivial with friendly but knowledgeable service. A hugely enjoyable and memorable experience.

Excellent food and very lovely ambience. Spacious restaurant with very nice seating areas. I didn't get the feeling that they were trying to cram in as many customers as you seem to get in a lot of other restaurants in Central London

The food was outstanding as usual. Our server seemed a bit overloaded with too many tables to serve but he was friendly. Sartoria still is our favorite Italian restaurant in London.

This was our first time at Manzi and we were pleasantly surprised by so many things. The set menu was really excellent and the portions were very good. It was cooked to perfection and was very tasty. The waitresses were very attentive without being intrusive, attending to our needs. The restaurant were fully booked so that is always a good sign. The decor is beautiful. All in all we enjoyed our evening. Thank you Manzi
