Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Berkeley

My son and I were looking for a really nice meal in a really nice environment, and Julia's delivered. The hostest was unnecessarily rude, but the wait staff were wonderful and our waiter couldn't have been better. I will be back. The French onion soup was really yummy. My son loved the escargot, and the duck was devine. Thank you for providing us with such a nice evening.

We had a lovely meal at Acre. Service was attentive, the room is pleasant and not too noisy. We both had pasta dishes that we enjoyed. We especially liked the fried olive appetizer.

They had a loudish party in the main dining area and accommodated our desire for a quieter meal by seating us in a separate/back room. It was quiet and more suitable for us. Food and drinks were great.

Everything was great!

We have been here twice with friends and really like it. The food is excellent and the service good. Delivery of the food seemed a bit slow last night, but that was a kitchen problem not the wait staff. If you like a bit of space around you, this is the place to go, too. A very open plan There was a saxophone playing last night, which became a bit loud. But it was a very good saxophonist!!!
