Ate there last night with another couple and while the food was good can't say that it was up to their usual standard. The oysters had bits of shell from being opened but seriously fresh and briny, just the way I like them. My wife had the halibut and liked the fish but the veg was overcooked and pretty bland, not a composed dish. My friend and I both had the steak which was good, properly cooked medium rare but a bit stingy on the french fries. We all had desert, my wife had the chocolate tart which she thought needed some fruit to round it out. My friend and I both had the apple and quince pie, great crust but otherwise not memorable. The first time it was just my husband and me on our anniversary. It was so fun, so we brought back a group of 10 a month later. The food, drinks, service and especially the piano entertainment did not disappoint! The whole place was up and out of their seats singing and dancing by the end of night….to piano music, what?!!
