Best Historic Restaurants in Inverness

Lovely experience for an anniversary- complimentary champagne and dessert! Great food, vibes, ambience, love this place!!

Central Market is one of my wife's and I favorite places, we've had dinner there several times over the years and it's always been consistently good. Ate there last night with another couple and while the food was good can't say that it was up to their usual standard. The oysters had bits of shell from being opened but seriously fresh and briny, just the way I like them. My wife had the halibut and liked the fish but the veg was overcooked and pretty bland, not a composed dish. My friend and I both had the steak which was good, properly cooked medium rare but a bit stingy on the french fries. We all had desert, my wife had the chocolate tart which she thought needed some fruit to round it out. My friend and I both had the apple and quince pie, great crust but otherwise not memorable. My friends wife had the chocolate sorbet, super chocolatey. Service was exceptional. We'll be back, sorry they had an off night.

We were very happy with everything. The staff was outstanding and David, our main waiter was awesome! We plan to book another meal in the future.

I have been wanting to dine at Spruce for years. Finally for my Birthday it has happend,we went to spruce. Warm greating at the entrance. Given a very nice velvet banquet table which complimented my velvet jacket. Service was perfessionnal and jovial. The food was perfectly grand to view and eat. Top notch
