Enzo Rosano grew up in a town just outside of Naples, Italy. His fondest memories of his childhood are centered around his mother’s cooking and the spirited meals he shared with his eight siblings. Mama Carmela’s amazing cooking kept her children close to home throughout their childhood and young adulthood. Her culinary influence also played a role in Enzo’s decision to enroll in the Scuola Alberghieria Culinary and Hospitality program in Naples. We went to Reve to celebrate the birthday of a friend, and it was a perfect place to have a special occasion dinner. The service was outstanding, the food was quite good, and the ambiance is homey, warm, and quiet enough to hold a conversation.

My table loved their dishes but mine was the steak frites which was passable, falling short of preparation and quality. I order it to be medium, but it was cooked to medium well on most of the steak but one side was very rare. I never had such an inconsistent steak like that before. The meat was tough, too. I think I will pass on this dish on my next visit and get the smash burger which looked amazing. The cocktails and deserts were very good, as well.

Acre is an amazing restaurant. It’s a rare gem where the execution across the board is outstanding. It consistently delivers excellent food in a great atmosphere with top notch service. I’ve been for a casual night with friends to an anniversary dinner and it was perfect for both- a great time with fantastic food!

We almost always eat in Oakland, Berkeley and SF because it's hard to find good food and flavors through the tunnel. Hideout nails it. The lamb shank, the fried chicken, the squash all as good as you get in the City. Delicious. Could still use some work on their craft cocktails, but the food was excellent.
