Mediterranean | Meatpacking District, Manhattan

I've eaten at the 5th Avenue location numerous times but have never been to the Meatpacking location. I had a group of out of town guests who wanted to walk the High Line and the location was perfect. Service was wonderful, our pear sangria hit the spot and everyone enjoyed their food. We had a fantastic time. I will definitely visit again when in the area. More

Excellent and gracious service, from all support staff. Food was fresh and so good. I appreciated the attention to detail with service, such as someone folding my napkin when I left the table and attentive water service. Didn't expect it. Will be back for sure. More

Consistently great food and service at this location. Far better than the Central Park South location (which should be done away with it’s so bad), and a better setting than UES. It’s also nice that you can almost always find a table because it’s such a large space here. Only downside is that they don’t offer breakfast items at dinner! More

Japanese | Midtown West, Manhattan

This is truly one of the best Japanese restaurants in NYC. People often focus on sushi with Japanese food. Yakatori is easily one of the best treasures from Japan. Tori Shin is objectively the best in NYC. The select counter adds an interesting additional element to the meal. High-end fish, fried foods, and most importantly, King Crab. The special part about the crab was the fact that it was never frozen and not cooked before arriving at the restaurant - this is unheard of. It was lightly grilled and served medium rare. The best crab I've ever had. Well done boys! More

Mexicue - UESMexicue - UES
Tex-Mex | Upper East Side, Manhattan

It all started with a passion for real, made-from-scratch cooking in a food truck that traversed Manhattan and Brooklyn, embracing the vibrant culture of the city. From concert fans to festival goers, day-trippers to lunch-breakers— we fed them all, body and soul. Today, Mexicue has evolved into a restaurant — and lively bar scene — that does things a little differently than the other guys. A little more boldly. And with a lot more flavor and fun. We smoke, braise, char, pickle, juice, mash, grind and create — in a way that is inspired by the Mexican tradition. All with a twist of the American South. We believe in authentic, down-home cooking techniques. Nothing fancy about it. Just good music. Strong, quality drinks. Shareable, mouth-watering food. That’s all the ingredients you need for the perfect neighborhood escape. Created for making memories and kicking back. The ultimate place to unwind and dine — or order a round of tequila to take the night to the next level. More
