John was great, really cared for us and just knew what we needed before even saying anything! We even have a wee extra for the tip. The food was great tasted fresh and the drinks were lovely, even got myself a souvenir glass home! We came for our anniversary and although it is loud it’s a great atmosphere!

Really good food and staff , I’ve been to a lot of restaurants in my life and it’s definitely one of the best , my steak was perfect except the centre for some weird reason but that happens with steaks no big deal as was only small bit in centre rest was perfect , keep it up good job x

Service was so poor. Waited an age for everything, everyone served at different times. Informed at booking that it was someone’s birthday & wasn’t acknowledged, though it was for other tables. Half the food didn’t arrive.

Had to get attention for more drinks and kids dessert menu. Had to remind about drinks as it was forgotten. The servers were very, very pleasant but was perhaps due to being very busy with customers vrs number of staff there was. Also found it very expensive. Had to leave sharp for a train- wish we did close attention to itemised bill. Can’t add up in my head what we got versus what we paid. Our own fault. Not sure I’d recommend. I’ve put yes below but if there was an “unsure” box I’d be more confident to tick that.

Unfortunately after we were seated a large table of gents arrived, who were loud and using foul language when I had 2 young children. Not the restaurant fault but meant we did not stay for dessert as it was unpleasant, otherwise very worth the visit.

Food was ok for a chain ...clearly pre-cooked and reheated, I found it noisy, not especially clean and to really insult, they added the 'discretionary gratuity' to the total and asked for payment...was made to feel awkward when I stated discretionary means my choice and I chose not to pay a 10% levy on already pricey fare ! come on Hard Rock...you are a big brand and don't need to resort to this for blatent profiteering! rather disappointing experience and I most definately won't be back due to this practice!

Great place to take kids for lovely burgers and mock tails, very friendly staff. Downside is they automatically added over £13 of a tip onto bill and man in shop not particularly friendly despite us spending money there!!

The place was rammed with kids, staff and kitchen struggling to cope with the numbers, could barely hear the music over the din of the chatter. It took over an hour from entry to starters arriving. The servers did their best and were very courteous and did discount the bill but it wasnt an enjoyable experience. Wouldnt rush back.

We were met with a warm welcome on entry and we were a little early but the lady who met us was so pleasant and helpful and accommodated us perfectly. Our server AJ was great and our food was great. I was excited to eat here but left feeling disappointed. The decor is a bit dated and seemed worn. My sister had the barbecue chicken which was outstanding, but my Swiss mushroom burger was overcooked and dry. Our dessert was inedible because the salted caramel crust was as hard as nails and far too salty. Although we told our waitress it was inedible there wasn't even an apology. Given the number of places there are to eat in Edinburgh, I doubt we'll go back.
