   Service was terrible, server took 15 min after we sat down before offering water and providing the menus. They refilled our water with the wrong type - we paid for bottled water and they refilled our glasses with tap water. Food was bland and steak was dry. Toilet was messy. It was also too loud it felt like we were at a pub, not an upscale restaurant.

   If you can afford to indulge in the delicacies offered, there is no better place to enjoy them. Chefs tasting flight of steaks is the way to go. Even the “big steak” enthusiast will reevaluate their ways after sampling some of the finest meat this world as to offer - just a taste is all you need when the quality is this high.

   My partner and I celebrated his birthday there. The food as always is consistently delicious and the service is superb. Having gone to Jacob’s for many years I did notice that following COVID the prices have increased tremendously in comparison to other steak houses in the city. I highly recommend Jacob’s for a flawless experience but selfishly want the previous pricing to return so I can enjoy it more frequently.

   Service was excellent; Chris was our server and he knew the menu and the beef varieties exceptionally well. Food was very good. While the Caesar salad was very good it was disappointing that the table configuration didn’t allow the table-side preparation to actually be table-side. It was prepared behind the table meaning those with their back to the cart could not easily see it. Another server prepared it yet did not tell us what the ingredients were as he was preparing it. The cheap grocery shelf white egg used was disappointing. I would have expected an organic brown egg in a 5 star restaurant. The noise level was so bad we had to lean forward and talk over the noise to hear one another. Some noise dampening would be nice. The warm seafood tower appetizer was delicious and a meal on its own.

   Excellent but expensive. There needs to be a formal entrance for the disabled, not through the kitchen. (A stairway needs to be negotiated even before getting there.

    This was a great experience and made this special even more special. The steaks were all cooked to perfection and if you haven’t had bone narrow it is a must try, it fuses with the steaks flavour beautifully. The place was very welcoming. And our servers were on the ball, helpful and friendly.

    Waiters are very attentive and courteous. Would highly recommend the Caesar salad. We also got the duck fat fries and pasta. For steak we ordered Australia Waegu, bone marrow and Canadian 55 day aged ribeye. Would recommend the AUS ribeye.

    Always love it here. The char on the steaks is amazing. My only complaint was that they didn't explain the steaks and the nuances very well this time. I had to ask and they still didn't. I had guest that had not been before and it made the experience a little less exciting and special. Food was excellent though!

    First off, something needs to be said about the service. I have never been to a place that has such incredible service, the people are so well educated on the cuts of meat they are serving, the wine pairings that should go with each cut, the proper glass to use for said wine, everything was top notch. These people could spot your glass getting low from across the room, whisk over and re-fill it before you even know it. Very friendly, courteous, everything, truly could not say better things about the staff. The food is nothing to scoff at either, My Fiance and I had the Redtop Wagyu Tenderloin and a 14oz Ribeye from Guelph ON. Both were expertly cooked, perfect medium rare for me, edge to edge pink with that crisp char on the exterior, and perfect medium for my SO. Our sides were great, the mushroom risotto had a great creamy, buttery finish, and the duck fat french fries were crisp, with a light interior, perfect accompaniment for our proteins. The Caesar salad, made table side....I would go back just for this. Fun to watch being prepared, so good you don't want it to end when eating it. All in all it was everything I hoped for, couldn't have been happier with out experience, and again, the servers and service, these people deserve a lot of praise. Amazing time.

    Service was not to Jacobs’ standard. My observation is that experiences in the back room are sub par relative to the main area. Steak was served somewhat cold and needed to be reheated, the wrong glassware was used and had to be corrected, cavatelli wasn’t cooked properly, wine wasn’t topped off when required... we just felt neglected overall. It may be the case that Jacobs is resting on the laurels of their typically excellent steak but neglecting service, side dishes, attentiveness, etc. I hope this trend is corrected.

    The staff know their stuff about the meat . This is something that really sets them apart . They also have a sommelier who helped us dine the right wine ‘ This is a favourite place for us to go , is consistent and expectational every Time !

    Everything in the meal was great, from food to service. The only disappointing thing was they took the creme brulee out of the menu which I get Everytime at steak houses and I feel is a staple.

    This has to be the best restaurant I’ve been to. Everything from the food to the service to the atmosphere is just perfect. Can’t wait until the next time I go! Their attention to detail and their ability to almost know what you need when you need is incomparable.

    We ordered one expensive cut and one on the lower range. The expensive cut was absolutely unreal. The lower grade was not impressive and you can get better value for your money at less expensive steak houses. Excellent service.

    We celebrated our 11th anniversary at Jabobs syakehouse. The food was without a doubt amazing and beyond expectations. Service was exceptionally great. Tiny bit if set back was flies which I terminated. But I guess if you are seat right next to the bathroom, could happen.

    Fantastic experience, get to know beef, education is 30 minutes...then you are not sure what you want...EXPERTS with steak...not much else. Oysters Rockefeller are a “twist” to the norm. 👍🏻
