Jacques' Brasserie at L'Auberge Chez Francois
Chef Jacques Haeringer
As with l'Auberge, Jacques' Brasserie is as good and special on the 2nd, 5th, or 10th visit as it was the first time you were there. It exceeds all expectations every single time!
Everything is always great here. And they have great outside dining areas.
we love Jacque’s !!! Sooo happy to be back. See you next week. When are you going to bring back Rasberry Sorbet??
Eat here weekly. Always a wonderful experience. Very good gluten free bread.
Great ambiance, excellent attention, and responsible application of COVID safety guidelines.
Just superb. Chez Francois light is the best way to describe it. Wonderful food, discrete and professional service, and a delightful patio on a pleasant evening. Perfection!
Wonderful meal - the food was terrific and the staff did a great job of following sanitary guidelines. We felt very comfortable dining there.
We were still celebrating our anniversary. The waiter was just wonderful and the food fabulous in every way
Most exquisite dining experience in a bucolic setting. We love Chez Francois!
It's like going to France without the travel worries!
We had a wonderful experience at lunch yesterday at the Brasserie. We were greeted by staff members who were all wearing appropriate masks and gloves and were invited to choose a set, we opted to sit outside on the patio since it was a nice day. We shared both the hot and cold oysters which were delicious for a starter. I enjoyed the filet mignon burger and my friend had the seafood pasta, both were excellent. For dessert we both had souffles that were the best we have ever eaten, truly amazing. We were very impressed with service and their constant cleaning, we felt very safe in our first restaurant experience since early March. Well done!
It was everything we hoped for. The food and the service was outstanding.
As always it was lovely. The menu is slightly adjusted. The oysters were some of the best we’ve ever had. The halibut special was wonderful, if overcooked (sauce was perfect tho). We will always support Jacques and L’Auberge.
My husband and I are delighted the Brasserie reopened in time for us to celebrate our anniversary on Friday evening. I was very impressed with the many precautions the staff has taken to ensure a safe dining experience. Tables from the inside dining room have been moved to the lawn. The waiters wear masks and gloves. There are hand sanitizer dispensers near the restroom and at the entrance to the dining room. The staff even wipes down your credit card after you settle up your bill. We felt very safe, and look forward to dining there again soon.
Fabulous. As always
Just a wonderful experience, so attentive and wonderful food, worth the value!
Great to be back! Everything wonderful. As always!
Lovely place, fabulous food peaceful and friendly
As always, dinner was delicious. My favorite neighborhood spot was the perfect place for our first dinner out post-lockdown! Thank you!
Absolutely spectacular in every way outdoors patio seating is set within the gardens and the water fountains. Inside it’s like being at home in France. exceptional food great service - a classic in Virginia
Love love love everything about Jacques and L’Auberge. Always an excellent experience and always so warmly welcomed. Thank you! It was good to be back!
Perfect place for an informal anniversary! Food and ambiance were delightful
As always pre and post COVID our go to for quality food, service and ambiance. So good to have them back.
We had reservations for the outside patio. They have a structure over the patio which allows use even in the rain. But the weather this evening was lovely. The seating area was beautiful, the lush garden all around. Really couldn’t be better. The service was flawless and the food was very tasty. The special on Tuesday was Veal Cordon Bleu. It was very popular - and we were glad we ordered it too. Perfection. Dinner was topped off with a stroll on the grounds, including the expansive vegetable gardens. Can’t wait to go back.
Everything was amazing! The drinks were great, the appetizer (chive crepe) might have been our favorite part.
Wow, just wow! The service was incredible, I felt like I was at home. The food cannot be matched... I wish I could eat here every day!!
Jacques is always a treat and truly the best food in the DC area. Amazing cocktails and a great wine list.
I tried the special dinner of the day, a seafood medley with wonderful fresh veggies and a pastry puff in the center. It was a delight.
Another wonderful brunch at Jacques Brasserie! Always warm and welcoming. This time we brought my 21 year old son, who was home for spring break. He and my fiancé enjoyed the crepes suzette while I loved the filet mignon Benedict over sautéd spinach . Fiancé and I split a bottle of bubbly and my son and he had a lovely cappuccino to close out the meal. Service was excellent and it is easy to recognize why this place is so prized in the Great Falls community!
This is a nice, casual-atmosphere restaurant downstairs from L'Auberge Chez Francois. The food and service are excellent. Tables are fairly close together so you can hear other parties' conversations, but I think that adds to the friendly atmosphere. It's a good special occasion restaurant, and considerably less expensive than upstairs at L'Auberge.
Unfortunately we had the same waiter, Pat, that we had on our last visit to Chez Francois. He was just as annoying and argumentative. I asked for medium rare but it was practically raw. We had to ask other servers for help. Next time I will say please not him. The food was great but the service is not the same as it has been since we started coming when it first opened.
Our first visit to happy hour at the bar. We enjoyed several small plates. The snails, beef checks and seafood medley were favorites. The mushroom tart was ok. The wine and beer choices were yummy and priced right. The service was. as always, top notch.
Always superb cuisine, attentive service and relaxing setting.
The lobster salad is a perfect prelude to a decadent hot hazlenut souffle dessert. My friends very much enjoyed their calves liver entrees as well. Lovely place for a leisurely lunch on a dreary cold afternoon.
The beef bourguignon was very, very salty other than that everything else was very good. The Sunday shrimp dish over risotto was excellent and barely any salt was added.
Took a girlfriend for her birthday to the Brassiere. The wait staff went above and beyond, very attentive and nice. Her mushroom omelette was very good, she was very happy. I ordered French toast, it was hard and cold. Coffee was good. She ordered dessert and when I asked for a candle for her chocolate torte, they brought a new dessert with a candle and I sang Happy Birthday. She had a wonderful time.
Impeccable service and ambiance. Soufflés were phenomenal as always. French toast was very thin and not worth the price tag.
Jacques is our favorite neighborhood spot. The service and food are just as fabulous as upstairs at Chez Francois, but the atmosphere is fun, cozy and casual. Perfect for a Fri night!
