Jams - NYC
Appetizers come in a hurry but we waited over an hour for our entrees Each time we asked the waitress about anything she said she would send over the manager. He did arrive, offering us free dessert but we were out of time. The food and the convenient location makes this a good choice but the service is beyond tolerable. They did take the drinks off the tab to compensate.
I love Jams, but the menu is considerably shorter with fewer choices than I remember. Our food was excellent, our table was ready when promised, and our server was excellent.
We dined there for Sunday brunch. Tried salmon plate, pancakes and omelet and a muffin. Food was prepared well but nothing special. For example muffin tasted good but would have been better warm. Service was ok specifically the order was correct but drinks were not refilled. Portions on the smaller side for the price.
Service kept passing us by during brunch hour, and the bench was wobbly. Otherwise it was a pleasant experience
Decent food but not amazing. Especially for the price
Loved location. Not crowded on a slow Sunday evening. Our server had a difficult getting our orders straight. Had to ask several times for items and the check.
Very nice setting, and the food was outstanding, especially the Brussels sprouts!
The service was impeccable. Pacing of food, from appetizers to main course, to desserts and after dinner drinks was perfect. Thoroughly enjoyed the entrées. The gnocchi was divine! Start with the spicy mixed nuts. Addictive! End with the baked Alaska.
I had a special request that was perfectly accommodated and went off without a hitch. Very appreciative for the work that went into that by all involved.
I recently had a lovely brunch at Jams with my family. My daughters got the bagel/smoked salmon plate, croissant and fruit bowl I had the homemade granola with yogurt and my husband got an omelette- All of which were good sized portions, fresh and delicious! I did have order envy when I saw the french toast arrive at another table, so I may order that next time. Service was great with a friendly wait staff. The restaurant is not very big so reservations for Sunday brunch highly recommended.
Jams has become a special place for us, as it’s where my son and I have gone to brunch twice before seeing Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen. It’s an easy walk from Grand Central and a great place to settle in and enjoy a stylish New York restaurant before a show. The food is good - my son loves the French toast — albeit a bit NYC pricey. But the best part of Jams are the people who work there. The hostess is adorable and greets you with a friendly smile. The wait staff is super efficient and attentive, and the manager on duty was so lovely. It was my son’s birthday and they truly went the extra mile to make our visit special. Thank you Jams!
I really enjoy this place. The food is always made with farm fresh ingredients and excellently prepared. The atmosphere is cozy, sustainable and modern.
Great food. Good drinks.
Took a bit to be recognized up front by the host but the waiter was fantastic, the food came out quickly and it was very tasty.
Spotty/slow service. Average, overpriced food. Wouldn’t recommend.
The service was very good. The food was just ok.
Our recent visit to Jams found us all enjoying a delightful brunch, outstanding service and a very comfortable atmosphere. I ordered the tofu scramble. Tofu is an item I much enjoy and Jam’s scramble was absolutely delicious! We all enjoyed our respective meals immensely. Looking forward to our next visit.
Extraction not working at end of the restaurant. Very smelly (of food)
Overall one of the best meals out in a while. Everything was cooked perfectly.
Brunch was nice. The chicken was as good as it usually is. Lack of seasoning? Service was fine. Room is pleasant. Will return but I may order the burger next time.
What a novel menu. Really wonderful food, coffee and atmosphere. BYOB (bananas) however. No bananas here because the food is locally sourced.
Can’t wait to return and try another dish.
Food was good. Restaurant is beautiful. Our bench seating though was like a see saw
Fantastic service. The waitstaff was very attentive and offered fantastic suggestions and pairings. Steak was okay, but the drinks were great and burrata was delish.
Fantastic and fresh
Back again almost a year since our last visit. Great to see the food and the service have continued to maintain the high standard that we have come to expect and appreciate from one our favorite restaurants in NYC. The Jams chicken is simply delicious!!! Keep up the great work!
I was so excited to eat here, I had been following the restaurant on Instagram for a while. The service was beyond atrocious it was so disappointing. They didn’t give me another knife for my broccoli I which was so difficult to cut through with my butter knife. My sunny side up eggs were pretty cooked through, we didn’t get the toast until after we finished eating it was just annoying, I couldn’t wait to leave. Nice ambiance and the food was good but nothing to be as excited about as I was.
Average at best. Several items on menu not available. Much better options nearby.
We had to wait for our breakfast for 40 minutes to come!!!
Great atmosphere, nice staff, and delicious food. Would definitely eat there again!
The receptionist was super sweet and acknowledged that it was a special day for my son and I. After our brunch, we easily walked to Broadway to see a show.
Potatoes with the burger were SALTY. The burger was great. Apparently they don’t make regular mixed drinks.... they have a FULL bar and can’t make me a classic margarita. But there’s a margarita on their drink menu........
Great vibe, super location. Delicious food especially charcuterie plate, kale salad, gnocchi.
Excellent. Enjoyed the restaurant and the service. The food was unique.
JAMS is a great place for lunch or dinner in Midtown-- beautiful interior, great service and amazing food!
Nice for a quick business lunch
Great spot! Don't miss it while in NYC!
Excellent food, excellent service. Relatively spacious for NYC dining, I’d call the ambiance upscale casual. The duck was perfect. We would eat here again.
I sat outside, napkins forgotten, water refilling forgotten, service forgotten, food was not properly presented, it was a very unpleasant experience.
