   The crab cakes were expensive for the amount of crab in them. Loved the presentation of them with the salad and sauce, just expected more crab. The cornbread as amazing!

   Josephine is a wonderful addition to the 12South restaurant scene in Nashville. Chef Andy Little and his staff provide a terrific experience. The food is excellent, and the vibe is contemporary yet comfortable and relaxed. Always a pleasure!

   It was an easy reservation to make. When I walked in the hostess was incredibly friendly and did her level best to accommodate our group. The waitress we had was very friendly and took care of us in a way that made us feel like we could've been close friends. And the eggs Benedict that I chose was decadent. Just a wonderful experience. I will visit again when I'm back in Nashville.

   The food and drinks were exceptionally good, and the salads could not have been better. Cost a little more than usual, but it was definitely a cut above even the best you might expect. So it was worth the extra expense.

    Comfortable atmosphere with an excellent selection of well prepared cocktails with outstanding appetizer and entre selection. Above par. Will definitely go back. Highly recommend for an upscale dining experience at a reasonable price.

    Food was incredible and service was excellent. Overall great experience. Standouts were the cornbread and duck fat potatoes. Mind blowing beet salad. I wish they would bottle that lavender dressing. Only negative was we ordered their specialty dessert the pecan pie with homemade icecream and it took them 20 minutes to let us know it has sold out. Otherwise everything was great.

    Our dinner was well paced and delicious. We could tell early that our waitress was bothered with our bubbly personalities, however she remained respectful. I would say she did the bare minimum, but due to the price of dinner, she did not miss out on her tip because of this. We were a group of 4 women and we would return, requesting a different server if we were matched with her again. Side note: Medium Rare at Josephine is Rare. Order Medium if you expect a "Medium Rare" result in your steak.

    Mother’s Day dinner. Everything was great. Our server was awesome. The chicken and swordfish were delicious. The kale was nearly raw and sandy. It needed to be cleaned better and according to the menu, should have been crispy. Overall a good experience.

    We have had some of the best quality meals ever in this place. Portions are "European." If you're expecting to be satisfied with a perfectly reasonable amount of very high quality food, with room for appetizers and dessert, you will be happy. If, however, you think "expensive" means portion sizes where you struggle to consume your bread pudding after your 48 oz. steak and baked potato and then feel like you need to be carried from the table, then this place may not be for you.

    For Mother's Day, I enjoyed the steak and eggs, all cooked perfectly and those fries! Hubby had fried chicken sandwich, half of which he brought home and our son enjoyed the excellent hamburger. We ordered the biscuits which were ok (fill up on the mains). Server was wonderful (wish I could remember her name). We love Josephine; you can never go wrong.

    Came for brunch after seeing Josephine listed on many of the best of Nashville lists. I suspect dinner may be a bit better, but for brunch the options were rather standard. My chicken and waffle was just ok, would no recommend. The biscuits and gravy were excellent, but not worth the Uber out to this area. They neighborhood itself was adorable and was fun just to wander around after brunch.

    Nice for a special occasion. Went for an early Mother’s Day dinner. Our server was very helpful and attentive. The Crab soup was served warm, if that. And it was immediately replaced with a hot cup. It was delicious. Everything else was severed perfectly. Drinks took a bit long, bar was busy. Espresso martini was delicious. We had the swordfish, escargot and Porkchop. And I would rank them in that order, but all were very good.
