   We tried this restaurant for the first time this weekend and the environment and service was nice. We enjoyed the quiet and relaxing environment. My only complaint was my food. I ordered the pasta dish special for the day and it was very very bland and tasted as if it had been sitting in a pot for too long. The noodles were over cooked and mushy. For over 30 dollars a plate this was very disappointing. I started with a salad and it was fantastic. My fiancé enjoyed his food. I wish the food matched the wonderful atmosphere.

   Lovely setting. Generous portions and beautifully plated. Loved the veggies! We had the filet and the trout. Amazing “wedge” salad that 4 of us shared. Very pleasant experience. Not rushed.

   I made the reservation a few weeks prior to Mother’s Day. I called a couple of days in advance to make sure our table would be inside, not on the porch, I was told our table was inside, but when we were seated, we were not inside and not on the porch, but the treetop deck, with no umbrellas. It rained on us! Ruined our lunch! Very disappointed!

   We had a great Mothers Day brunch. This was our second visit and we loved our experience! The food was excellent, served hot and our server, Montgomery, was very attentive. We requested a special table when we booked our reservation and they already had it ready for us. We sat on the covered porch and it was very quiet, not noisy at all. Again, a beautiful experience. We highly recommend LRH and will return again soon.

    One of the best brunches, service was great, even though they were 5 people short. Food came out quickly and hot, drinks were excellent. Kudo's to the staff who were short. I had the Goat Cheese Arugula Salad, Eggs Bendict with the creamiest grits, along with a Blackberry Mimosa, My wife had the Quiche of the Day. Kudo's to the Chef. Everything was perfect.

    Jordan was the best. We started out on the porch but the rain and gutters had a different plan. No problem at all. Great food. Please keep the trout dip. It was fantastic. Can't wait to return.

    Easter brunch buffet. Food was marginally warm, if not cold. Clean buffet plates had to be asked for repeatedly, often with long delay. Water not refilled even on request. Cramped seating. 4 adults @ $300. Normally I do like this restaurant very much (1.5 hour drive). Quaint rustic, nice waitresses, usually delicious.

    Easter brunch was way over priced. The food in the buffet line was lukewarm at best. I was so embarrassed that I brought a date and raved over your food and service. Both were horrible. You should be ashamed. No more special occasions at the LRH for me.

    Our first dining experience here. Our food was served hot and was delicious (brunch). Our server (Taylor) was attentive, very personable and efficient. She made our experience here very enjoyable. We had a nice private booth but the noise from other diners was pretty loud. It was my wife’s birthday and they served her a free desert which we shared. All in all, a great experience. We will definitely return.

    As usual food was great but the continual understaffing makes enjoying a meal here trying. We were not seated until 45 minutes after our reservation time and though the staff tries their best, it is clear that no one is in charge both on the floor or in managing training and staff. Will continue to come back as it’s really the only game on the lake but hoping to see the management take the dining experience more seriously.

    Room was cold ask for heater to be lit. Another person came to light and then moved it to the other end of porch. The door to the outside was beside our table. All waitresses would go out door and let it slam. The hostess was the only one that held door from slamming. Food was very good!!

    We have previously enjoyed dining at the Lake Rabun Hotel for special occasions. They are now offering a Wednesday night menu that is more casual. We took advantage of the new menu last night and thoroughly enjoyed it! We highly recommend it. We will make this a Wednesday night tradition.
