- SStephanieWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoThe people were very friendly and nice. It was a little loud and we were turned out after two hours, but all in all a pleasant experience. Be warned that parking is tough.More infoMatt and Tony's All Day Kitchen + BarPrice: Moderate• American• Alexandria•4.7
- CCharlesvipSan Francisco Bay Area •146 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe visited Ruthie's All-Day to celebrate a friend's birthday; everyone was delighted with their food order (wood grilled hanger steak, roast duck, grilled tuna (an off-menu special) and sides). A pork chop special, available earlier that evening, was so popular that it sold out. Other nightly specials included a white chili with turkey meat and a tempura-battered squash side dish. Our friend greatly enjoyed his complimentary birthday dessert - three warm campfire cookies with cookies and cream ice cream. - BBillVirginia •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoNeed I say more when you mention the name "Gordon Ramsey"? But, there are a few things to consider when visiting. Yes the service is impeccable and the food outstanding but there's more to it than just those two things when visiting a restaurant and a higher scale one at that. We eat out a lot and at many levels of types of restaurants but make sure to check what you get charged for. For instance, no one wants sink water to drink and to "trick" you into getting bottled water to drink just isn't right. Charge me for a small bottle, fine but to be asked if you'd like bottled water then they come out with a giant glass bottle and charge you $9 for it is absurd and we only barely drank any (there's only 2 of us by the way). We didn't even have any alcohol either and we got socked for $11 each for a glass of lychee flavored soda on top of the $9 dollar bottle of water we didn't drink. Next none of the entrees come with barely anything else so when you ask for one from the menu, out comes a small thin-rimmed dish of potatoes that you could finish in a few bites for $15. Yes, I planned on paying a lil more of course for the name and the service and good food, but $74 for a small baseball-sized beef Wellington? Oh the dessert? $15 for a 2"x4" rectangle of cheesecake with a few blueberries. Really? What the kicker was the fact that they charged us an additional 20% service charge of the subtotal which came to $271.00. Add that service charge and your bill is now $352.30. Tax is in there as well ($27.10) but there was NO need for that service charge and you haven't even tipped yet. Are you kidding me? Total paid including tip was $432.30! Yes I can easily pay for this 30 times over and I still tipped my server $80 but that's so not the point. If you want the business especially in this day and age, DON'T take advantage like that!More infoGordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen - Washington DCPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary European• Southwest Waterfront•4.5
- JJonathanOrlando / Central Florida East •1 review5.0Dined on 2 Dec 2024Ada’s on the River is a must-visit! The entire experience was incredible, from the stunning ambiance to the exceptional food. The open kitchen concept with the wood fire oven added an exciting, lively touch—it was amazing to watch the chefs in action. The food was simply outstanding. The perfectly cooked scallops were a highlight—tender, flavorful, and beautifully paired with the corn soubise, which was hands-down the star sauce of the night. While we enjoyed the trio of sauces served with the hanger steak, the corn soubise stood out with its sweet, velvety flavor. Every dish we had was elevated and memorable, from the vibrant salads to the decadent desserts that ended the night on a high note. The staff, especially our server Abigayle, was attentive and welcoming, ensuring our meal was flawless. Combined with the chic and cozy atmosphere and gorgeous river views, Ada’s on the River is a dining experience we’ll be raving about for a long time. Highly recommended!More infoAda's on the RiverPrice: Moderate• American• Old Town Alexandria•4.7
