Holdren’s Steaks & Seafood, located on State Street, serves up a delicious and diverse menu of seafood and steaks, where the portions are always generous and the prices always reasonable.     This was our fourth visit, and it was to celebrate a birthday. The service was attentive, the food and wine delicious. Our waitress even brought the birthday girl a yummy slice of cheesecake with a candle. Overall, a very nice evening.

    Holdrens once again was a fabulous experience with great food and service. We tried the filet mignon ( no sauce needed) sand dabs ( generous and mouth watering) , and the ribs - sweet , tender, a little spicy and meat falling off the bone . AND THE PRICES WERE SAME PRICE FROM 21 years ago!! No shortage of portions even though this month they have special anniversary prices ( between 4/6 pm Mon- Thu) - don’t miss out !

    Everything we had was well prepared and the flavors balanced. Personally I love the Coq Au Vin with root vegetables. The chicken falls off the bone and the sauce needs to be eaten with a spoon. The little gem salad is delicious and the dressing perfectly balanced. The creme brûlée and chocolate fondant are not to be missed. Overall this is one fine restaurants and one of my favorites. I highly recommend the Black Sheep.

    Great dinner experience… very busy for a Tuesday night. The placed was packed. The service was excellent and our food was wonderful. I had halibut with a coconut curry sauce and the Mrs had Filet Mignon with a brandy peppercorn sauce. Both were really great. Highly recommend Intermezzo.
