We know the word "fusion" has been wielded about to justify everything from Hula Burgers to Mexican lasagna. But the East-meets-South brand of fusion happening at Poor Calvin's? It's creative; it's innovative; and it's probably unlike anything you've tasted in the ATL. After working in kitchens around the world, Calvin Phan wanted to shake things up a little. And so, into the mac 'n cheese, the Thai spices went. Now, Calvin's giving Southern staples, like sea bass and fried chicken, a decidedly creative Asian-inspired twist (and a nip of spice, too). He has created innovative dishes, approached in much the same way, leave the hands of Calvin Phan day in and day out. His dedication and attention to detail are evident in each dish and dessert. You won't be disappointed.*Last seating 1 hour before close*

It’s been a while since I’ve been for Sunday lunch and it was delicious! Like always, salmon chips were on point! The prime rib sandwich was delicious and the sweet potato hash was equally as amazing. 😋

Excellent time celebrating our anniversary at Little Sparrow. Both the hostess and our waiter, José, acknowledged the special occasion and on the table there was an adorable card. The food was delicious (I think their chicken schnitzel is underrated/overshadowed by the burger or steak) and service was top tier. José was attentive, friendly, and I really appreciated his taking my pregnancy into consideration when he assured me that their cheeses were all pasteurized. The soft serve and cheesecake were also very yummy. Can’t wait to go back!

This was our first time at Poor Calvin’s and it will absolutely not be the last. After having dinner here it’s easy to understand why it’s such a highly regarded restaurant in the Atlanta area. Every dish is extremely well thought out and executed to perfection. The drinks are also extremely well thought out and executed. The service was incredible, ask for TJ, he was an awesome server and expertly walked us through our first experience. The specials were outstanding. To start was a duck crepe appetizer that was one of the most complex yet perfectly balanced and delicious duck dishes I’ve ever had. The Argentinian beef tenderloin special was indescribably good. The meat was seasoned and seared expertly and tender enough to cut with a fork. The Korean bbq ribs dish was sensational. It was a huge portion of fall off the bone ribs in a beautifully sweet and tangy Korean bbq sauce and was paired with the best lobster mac n cheese I’ve had in Atlanta. The collard greens were tender but still had great texture and had an irresistible savory and sweet flavor. Truly a wonderful flavor.l experience. The mango crème brûlée was a work of art as well. Absolute 10/10, we cannot wait to come back!!
