We visited this lovely **restaurant** tonight to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. My parents-in-law and husband had the most lovely time - the food was exceptional, a great variety of regional dishes and the kulfis are the best we have ever had. We've made such lovely memories and were so warmly hosted by the Masterchef Mr Toddiwala and the lady boss :) a lovely sunset and outdoor setting by the river, totally worth the trip. My in-laws live **near** Newcastle and have said that they'll be back!
Shukriya <3 thank you!
Some of the staff members were not the most attentive or helpful. We asked at the hotel reception where the **restaurant** was and were told it was on the next floor up. However we could not operate the lift without a hotel key card and asked the receptionist for assistance. She made a point of explaining that we were not hotel guests and don't have a card and so she would 'help' us. Bit of a silly point as she knew we were not guests and were only there for a **restaurant** booking. At the **restaurant** we were 15 minutes early. The staff saw us waiting but did not acknowledge us. We had to get their attention and ask if it was ok for us to take a seat despite being a little early. We got a response of sure you can sit down but you can't order until the **restaurant** opens (not that we showed any indication of expecting to order early). It felt like we were inconveniencing them and they had little interest in ensuring customers have an overall good experience. That aside we had afternoon tea outside on the deck. The food was very tasty, the weather was beautiful and some other staff members were very nice.
