The food was smart, interesting and delicious. We had a mix of seasonal plates to share and I couldn’t fault any of it. Staff were so friendly and charming. The bill for two of us with a glass of wine each came to £157 - it’s a lot but I really couldn’t fault it.

We loved our dining experience! Our fillet steaks were delicious complemented by our green salad with bitter herbs and fries. Our starters of Devon Crab and Scallops were really tasty too. We tried a Grapefruit Picador cocktail- absolutely amazing - can’t recommend it highly enough. Grilled pineapple pudding was delightful and the wine pairing was inspired. The staff were attentive and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We would absolutely recommend Hawksmoor Borough.

Meeting an old friend after several years and since we’d been here before, it was an obvious place to meet. Our server was charming, helpful and patient (we didn’t stop talking) and our food choices were very good and delicious. The atmosphere was, as ever, pleasant, though noise from the kitchen was really loud, making customers having to talk Lauder. That said, we will be back.
