The American steakhouse is an iconic restaurant institution. We’d wanted to tell that story for years, but waited until we had the skill, talent and ability to execute it properly, and the right space to be our canvas, an important corner in Little Italy, a neighborhood where we have deep roots. We brought an almost academic appreciation for steakhouse history and tradition to Born & Raised, while trying to stay relevant and authentic to ourselves and our city. Our dry-aged beef pays tribute to earlier, earthier, pre-government grading practices and is the centerpiece of a meal best savored at a slow pace. What a fantastic restaurant! We had one of the best Italian meals we have ever had. Wait staff was amazing and the Lasagna was out of this world. Thank you for a wonderful evening to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We will be back soon.

We had such a great dinner here. We were sitting on the indoor patio side with the open roof. It was a perfect night for it. The restaurant wasn't loud and the service by Troy and food were simply divine. We ordered the goat cheese and mushroom starter. It was a generous portion and absolutely delicious. For dinner we had the Branzino and the Gnocci with sides of carrots and zucchini. Every dish was fantastic. The zucchini was a seasonal dish and I HIGHLY recommend it. I didn't know zucchini could be this good. Lastly we ordered the strawberry souffle for dessert. Again, absolutely wonderful flavors. This is def in my top 2 favorite restaurants in San Diego. Can't wait to go back.

Outstanding experience at The Prado! Our food was excellent, from Calimari, the Chef’s Special Salad and our entrees (Sea Bass & Hangar Steak), and of course, dessert. Our waiter,Scott was simply superlative, displaying an in-depth, enthusiastic knowledge of every item on the menu and an even more impressive table-side manner! Fantastic!
