In 2017 Holly and Ali moved down to Plymouth for a new life away from London. Passion for all things pizza and years of hospitality life brought about Knead pizza.Starting in Plymouth market and honing our skills to try and work out our perfect pizza. We moved into The LHA garden in 2019 due to that thing we wont mention and started cooking with flame. We got ever closer to cracking and adapting the truest of neopolitan style dough into a perfectly soft, neo neapolitan light and flavoursome crust.Now after a stroke of luck we’ve moved to the amazing Prysten House 1498. It’s one of the oldest buildings in Plymouth built by Thomas Yogge, with a real Tuscan villa vibe and courtyard, Grade 1 listed and also the inspiration for Yogge our new pizza pal.

The dome-shaped venue on the Hoe, aptly named The Dome, was designed by architect Tony Irish. The Dome was first opened in July 1988 as part of Mayflower commemorations in Plymouth and started life as a local museum and tourist information centre.Designed to have the Art Deco feel and opulence of a 1930s ocean liner, the venue’s bar will feature an extensive wine and gin list, a selection of cocktails plus a full range of beers, ciders and soft drinks.The restaurant’s menu will feature fresh, local and seasonal produce and will include fish sourced from local day boats.     We had a spot near the window and it was a lovely,sunny day. We had the three roast dinner with dessert. Food was delicious (could have been a tad hotter) pudding was to die for. Wonderful service. Thanks for a super Sunday.

    We were delighted to return to Restaurant 27 again today on a miserable cold January day. The food was as excellent as always- creative, beautifully presented and amazing value. Also the main course plate was nice and hot! It’s our new favourite restaurant in the South Hams- thank you Jamie, Charlotte and the team. Good luck for 2025. Jo and Louise R.

    I booked a table for my boyfriend’s birthday yesterday and as soon as we stepped inside - the whole place was SO cute!! I originally saw that a friend of mine had gone and thought it’d be a perfect date/bday meal and it truly was! The waitresses were so lovely I didn’t get their names but the girl taking our order was so sweet and the girl bringing us our food was also so sweet, lovely hospitality and vibes from them!! We were sat by the well and omg was so cool the whole area was amazing and the pizza UNREAL! I recommend the BBQ one and if they offer a Hot Honey Dip then get it, life changing!! 10/10 experience and hopefully will come back!
