"My friend and I go to Koi about once a month so the staff knows us. They took the time to learn our names so they greet us by name when we arrive. The manager came by to say hello and take our coats before we could even sit. We love Nirmal who is an attentive wait server. He remembers our favorite dishes and remembers all of my food allergies. We sit down and he sets us up with edamame and drinks before we've even had a chance to ask. Great at anticipating our needs. The sushi/sashimi is some of the freshest I've every had the Sushi chef slices the fish to precision. My friend has the scallop special on Friday and she sang the chef's praises. The chef came to our table to meet us. The restaurant is beautiful with soft lighting and banquette seating in the back. Just an outstanding dining experience all around. When I want to feel special, I go to Koi Bryant Park."See More

"We were curious to try Gabriel Kreuther, knowing a bit about the storied career of its chef. We expected it to be good, but were staggered by how truly great it is. It's located on the NW side of Bryant Park in the ground floor of a new office building (which itself seems to be paying tribute to the iconic shape of 9 West 57th Street). The interior is gorgeously designed, with lacquered ceilings, wood elements, and comfortable seating that is well spaced. From most tables, one can see into the kitchen, though the chef's table is not yet available. We selected three "savories" from the prix fixe menu, plus a desert. One can choose any three of a six or seven "Firsts", the same number of "Seconds", about five fish dishes, and seven or eight meat dishes (and two cheese selections, as well). So, one could, for instance, order a First, a fish, and a meat. Every dish was creatively conceived, perfectly prepared, beautifully presented, and an explosion of tastes & textures. Not since Del Posto have we had a meal this magnificent. The wine list has been given much thought, and fine bottles can be had at many price ranges, including a some good selections as low as about $50. The service was wonderful. Each employee, no matter what his or her station, was knowledgeable about every detail of each course. And yet, it felt completely unpretentious. Kreuther has assembled a team of people who respect his talents and are dedicated to his mission, but are personable and helpful. We'll be back..."See More

"Cool, unusual vibe, dood drinks and a la carte menu, friendly service, nice view across the street to Bryant Park. Very relaxed, a good post-theatre alternative to the "formal" dining room, which doesn't look formal but has only a four-course prix fixe menu which seemed a bit much after a show. Not too loud, notwithstanding the soundtrack. I look forward to returning."See More

"Bryant Park Grill sits in a beautiful park very close to Times Square. The ambiance is lovely, with many outside shaded tables and a nice inside as well. My Cobb salad was loaded with so much shrimp, that I actually left some on the plate! There is no pre show special price, so it was a pricey lunch (and you can make a reservation). However, on the other side of the Grill is the Bryant Park Cafe, which also had a nice outside eating area, and a less expensive menu ( no reservations accepted there)."See More

"I went to Parker and Quinn for brunch while my mom and Grandmom were visiting me at school. We wanted to go somewhere near Bryant Park because it was Christmas time. I chose Parker and Quinn on a whim and it was such a good choice! The decor was so nice and the food was great. The staff was awesome too. The manager came over to see how we were doing and was asking what brought us in. I told him I go to school in Manhattan and it was nice to have something other than cafeteria food for once. He then told me he would give me a free dessert because he knows that vein a student is hard, I was shocked. He was so sweet and went right over to the chef and put in an order for a special dessert and waited there until it was ready. He brought us a delicious flourless chocolate cake free of charge. It was truly the nicest experience I've had as a diner in NYC. I will definitely go back."See More

They were also responsive to our request for more gravy and more mashed potatoes, which were initially on the "light" side. The location was also ideal for our family joining us from Brooklyn (and us coming from NJ), and the short walk over to Bryant Park to enjoy the winter fesitivities there makes the location unbeatable."See More

"Times Square has its fair share of touristy, underwhelming restaurants. This was not one of them. We were so impressed by our entire experience at Sen Sakana. Peruvian-Japanese fusion isn't the first cuisine that comes to mind when looking for restaurants, but the two came together seamlessly. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. Two pieces of feedback: - The soy sauce from the gyoza wasn't enough for the sushi as well, that should've been served with its own side of soy sauce - The Japanese Curry Empanada is made to order so it takes a little while to come out. We were in a bit of a rush but the server didn't tell us this until about 10 minutes after we ordered it. Would've been good to let us know right off the bat. Having said that, the empanada was amazing!"See More

When you are visiting a city, it's wonderful to have a restaurant that you know will meet your idea of good food and presentation, fun atmosphere, exceptional service. For our food selections, we chose for appetizers, the risotto with mushrooms and truffle oil and crepe de smoked salmon followed by lamb chops and duck breast and because we had some french red still in the carafe, we shared the decadent, warm chocolate fondant….a dinner that made for wonderful dreams! My dining companions and I all enjoyed our meals from start to finish. We also indulged in the baked alaska dessert flambeed at the table. The wine selections were also notable and enjoyed a pinot noir, which paired nicely with the garlicky escargot and the brighter hake fillet with fennel and lemon zest. The dining room was more petite than I expected. At lunch time, it seemed to be filled with mostly tourists and hotel guests, but its midtown location by Bryant Park makes it a great place to meet for a business lunch or dinner."See More

"Took my family to dine at Aureole before seeing a play. It's the perfect spot for a classy dinner in the theater district, a rarity these days. The bar room (not the dining room) is mostly bankers in suits, likely because of its location in the BofA building between Bryant Park and Times Square. That vibe seems to be enough to keep wandering tourists out. The dining room is best described as modern and elegant, not overly fussy. The service was perfectly coordinated and our waiter was extremely helpful in describing dishes. The sommelier was exceedingly helpful, helping us pick a nice wine in our budget. Food was very good - not the best in NY but a very-very good dinner for the ~$90 pre-fixe price. Recommended."See More

"The main reason we chose Saju Bistro was the location. We had tickets for that evening's performance at the Belasco Theatre, right across the street. It was so nice to enjoy our meal and the company of our friends without having to worry about rushing to the theatre. So, though we chose for the location, we also really enjoyed our meal, the very friendly service, and the cozy, warm atmosphere on a cold winter night. I have also been here on a warm summer evening, sitting in the front with the windows open to the sidewalk. Though it's close to the extreme hustle and bustle of Times Square, because it's on a side street, it was very pleasant to sit by the open windows. It really is a nice spot, close to Bryant Park as well as the theatres."See More

"What a great find! This restaurant is located inside The Chatwal hotel, very close to Bryant Park and Times Square. Very busy pre-theatre scene (there is a prix-fixe served from 5:00-6:00pm). The chef is Arthur Barrette, an ingenious chef working with Geoffrey Zakarian cuisine. We opted for the A-La-Carte menu. We liked the combination of flavours in many dishes. they serve raw (Tartares, salads), pastas (all appetizer portions unlike the gargantuan Carmine's), seafood (octopus -very good, except that kohlrabi is terrible). For mains they have steaks (large ones), fish (don't order the Dover sole, it's stuffed with scallops and sliced, with a very salty- sweet sauce), poultry (chicken and duck). The multiple award wine list is amazing, and the prices are so much lower than nearby restaurants. They serve so many wines by the glass! It's a wine lover's dream. We didn't care for the confusing list of overpriced cocktails. But the head mixologist Patrick made an excellent Negroni. The service is elegant and attentive after 8:00pm, hectic and rushed before, so I suggest that you do not make a reservation before the theatre if you want to enjoy your meal."See More
