- LLeahMemphis / West Tennessee •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoMy husband and I ate here in celebration of my 30th birthday. Starting out, Katie was a lovely hostess. Called to check on my reservation and helped us move the reservation inside due to stormy weather in the forecast. Shea was a great server! The whole time we were there she was on top of what we needed, sweet, and gave great recommendations from the menu. The entire staff was so kind and awesome at their jobs. Food and drinks were TOP tier. We will definitely be back. A new favorite for us!More infoPark Heights$$$$• American• Tupelo•4.7
- KKurt1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoOur anniversary celebration was awesome! The cocktails were delicious and the brisket queso starter was good. The fried shrimp were so big they needed license plates! The brisket plate was good as always--I'm always going to try something different but can't ever make myself do it. The salad bar was OK, but needs improvement. We had a nice corner table in the bar and were taken care of by a variety of servers, all genuinely interested in making sure our meal was great. It was a Friday night and there was live music in the bar, which was pretty good. The vocalist sang a variety of songs and has a good voice and range, but her mic was set a little too loud. Staccee is an awesome bartender. Simon's is better than most similar restaurants in The City, and that keeps us going back.More infoSimon's$$$$• American• Jackson•4.8

- FFaitheNashville •40 reviews5.0Dined on 29 Mar 2026General Quarters is the kind of place that reminds you why you go out to eat in the first place—not just for a meal, but for an experience that lingers long after the last bite. From the moment you sit down, there’s a warmth and ease that makes everything feel just right. The shrimp and grits are nothing short of exceptional. Perfectly cooked shrimp nestled into creamy, buttery grits that feel indulgent without being heavy. Every bite is balanced, rich, and deeply satisfying—comfort food elevated to something memorable. And then there’s the gumbo. Deep, soulful, and layered with flavor, it tastes like it’s been simmering with care for hours (because it probably has). The richness of the broth, the tender sausage and okra, and the subtle spice all come together in a way that feels authentic and generous. It’s the kind of dish you keep thinking about the next day. What really sets General Quarters apart, though, is the feeling that nothing is rushed and everything matters—from the food to the atmosphere to the people serving it. It’s a place that delivers not just on taste, but on heart. If you’re anywhere nearby, it’s absolutely worth seeking out this Mississippi gem.More infoGenerals Quarters$$$$• American• Corinth•4.8
