We were a total of 6 people and we cleaned our plates to say the least. We started with a seafood tower with a mixture of oysters, crabmeat, shrimp and tuna. The steaks were so tasty and the scallops were delicious. The scallops has this very tasty spicy sauce that was not over top but kept me going for more. All side dishes did not just look good but were delicious. The restaurant was slightly loud for a Monday night and the cold air felt a bit too much. I think it’s hard to please heating and cooling in a restaurant and at Max Downtown the high ceilings can be a challenge to control such temps. This restaurant is so convenient to all major highways, very close to hotels and parking garages. Parking is free if you eat there. They also have Valet service. My guests loved this place so much they’ll come back again and so will I.More infoMax Downtown - HartfordPrice: Very Expensive• American• Hartford•4.8

He is such a gentleman and so focused on seeing that everyone receives the best and excellent attention. We were warmly greeted by Carrie; and brought to our table — and from there it continued to be the traditional fine time by Trumbull Kitchen. The sweet potato fritters were excellent as always; my kale and peach salad with salmon was served hot with just the right chill to my salad. And my friend had the marinated hanger steak and raved how wonderful! Everything was right on point and delicious! And while not traditionally bread people — the crispy cracker and multi-grain bread were excellent add-ons! Loved seeing Johnny — he is a highlight of the visit; meeting Carrie an add-on! Don’t miss Trumbull Kitchen — it is a staff of individual’s who make the Max group proud!More infoTrumbull Kitchen - HartfordPrice: Moderate• American• Hartford•4.6

She was very kind, attentive and made sure that we had a wonderful experience. She checked in on us frequently, was extremely nice and thoughtful, and would be a big reason why we would come back to Capital Grille again. Thank you Brandy for being a wonderful person and making our experience phenomenal! 🤗More infoThe Capital Grille - HartfordPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Hartford•4.9
