Several years ago, I decided that my future in the restaurant business would most likely not remain in the realm of fine dining and gourmands, but would rather lean towards the style of restaurant that I found myself frequenting most often - places that provided consistency and quality at a price that was fair for the quality of the food and experience. Public House plays to the comforts of good, solid food, while applying the principles of premium food products to a more casual setting. You will find all the fish is delivered from Foley’s in Boston, high quality steaks and a rotating selection of vegetable sides that are true to the region and season.     My wife had the steak special and I had the kabob special. Our granddaughter had a ceviche . The ceviche was very good; my wife's steak was very good; I was undecided between the kabob and the jambalaya,. Our server suggested the kabob which I ordered but I should have chosen the jambalaya. The kabob was virtually tasteless other than the smoky flavor. The potato was hard and not cooked properly. There wasn't anything to carry flavor. I'll go back but to have the jambalaya.

    I am never disappointed with Public House. The servers are attentive and knowledgeable but not overbearing. The food is always good and consistent. I love the fried chicken and veggies. One of my guests had cobb salad which made me want to go back and try soon. It even had fries chicken on it. Parking is nearby and free. What more could you want??
