First time here and I have to say kudos to the owners and staff. The place is very nicely designed and looked tidy and neat. We were met at the door and taken to our table straight away. Service was attentive and helpful. We placed our order We were very happy with the food. The sauce for the wings and duck spring rolls is beautiful and the ribs were also a favourite. Haddock risotto was very tasty also. The only reason we drop a star was the baked alaska and that's being critical. The chocolate fondant was great. Overall we would recommend this place for good quality, decently portioned food.

My girlfriend, who loves tea, had made reservations for us to attend this afternoon tea, and I, who generally does not like tea, was genuinely surprised with how pleasant I found the experience. Even as a young couple vacationing on a budget, probably not the typical people to attend an afternoon tea, we felt very welcomed by staff and other patrons alike. Throughout the service, staff was warm and all took part in caring for us, rather than having one particular server for our table. They were knowledgeable about the estate’s history, as well as the food and tea, helping me to find two that I actually enjoyed. The ambiance of the room helped me feel relaxed, and we never felt rushed through our tea. Afterwards, we were even allowed to explore the grounds at our own pace. I definitely recommend this experience to anyone, even those who are skeptical.
