Afternoon Tea at Caffe Concerto Whitehall13. Afternoon Tea at Caffe Concerto Whitehall0.18 mi

Italian | Leicester Square,

"We (my wife, children and myself) arrived to find the restaurant vibrant and full, I was pleased that I had booked for my wife's surprise birthday tea as we were guided to a table. Unfortunately the staff had not been informed about the special cake which I had selected and written on the booking 'comments'. But the manager quickly put my concerns at ease and said an appropriate cake would be found. Both of my sons chose hot food 'it was the best piazza I have ever had' said my 11 year old, who is very choosy. Then a cake arrived with glowing cakes (which I had not asked for) and it was just what I had hoped for. Thank you for making us all feel so special and for contributing so well to my wife's special birthday weekend. THANK YOU (we will be back)."See More

Indian | Covent Garden,

"This was a fantastic option for Indian cuisine before a musical near Trafalgar Square. We had two beers, the Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Sag, Garlic Naan, and rice - all of which were delicious and plentiful (for only ~£40!). My only complaint would be a slight language barrier with English, however in a restaurant such as this that seems to enhance the experience of consuming truly authentic Indian cuisine. I would absolutely visit this restaurant again!"See More

Mabel's, Covent Garden25. Mabel's, Covent Garden0.24 mi

British | Covent Garden,

"Came here for brunch on a Sunday morning. Nobody else there and appeared dead - but they were open and had a table for us. Brunch menu fairly simple, but great portion sizes and great value. Food was really tasty and the coffee was strong, hot and pleasant. They don't have any high chairs so not hugely baby-friendly. Never offered water, or topups when we finished drinks - had to ask for it. Didn't check back on the food quality. No music or ambience happening. Toilets: men's were broken and women's didn't have toilet paper. Overall it was OK and definitely a good option for a reasonably priced tasty brunch. Probably just needs a little service and maintenance improvement."See More
