Gloria Gati is the new restaurant of chef George Papakostas who jokingly refers to Gloria as the older sister of Vittoria Gati, another famous restaurant of his in Glyfada. Gloria is located in a historic building in the Athens center just 50 meters from Syntagma square. It is defined by an eclectic vintage design in a very cosy space where the pizza oven takes center stage. The bar serves award winning cocktails and over 100 wines from Greece and around the globe. The menu is Italian with a focus on homemade pasta and quality meats. The pizza is made from a 1937 sourdough and baked in a traditional oven imported from Naples. Some of the signature dishes include the steak tartare, arancini bolognese, the raviolo cacio pepe, the reginette al tartufo for truffle lovers as well as pollo francese and the ossobuco which is cooked for 12 hours. A tiramisu is a must here accompanied by a single estate espresso. Outside seating is available all year round in the courtyard of St George church

Mrs. Maria and their two sons along with the executive chef create authentic recipes from all over Greece, like grape leaves, the famous lamb "kleftiko", cheese pie with honey & Greek kebab “Sheftalia”.     Amazing food, incredible flavors and outstanding presentation. Super friendly staff! Only issue was they forgot to bring soy sauce when they brought my sashimi, and it took a while to flag the waiter. But the incredible view of the Acropolis was picture perfect.

    Sense is a culinary experience that is hard to describe, but so worth experiencing! We celebrated our 40th anniversary with a 12 course dinner that was seafood themed. All 12 courses were so unique and delicious that they defy description. If you are looking for a 5-star dining experience with very creative and unique cuisine, Sense is the place to go. A huge bonus is the beautiful nighttime view of the Acropolis from this 7th floor terrace style dinning room. Highly recommend!

    The view from the restaurant was magnificent. The food was excellent and I thought reasonably priced for Athens. We were not rushed in any way and the staff was welcoming. Great night.

    The food was amazing! The ambience was perfect. I love sitting outdoors, listening to music and people watching. The service was very good. I love when waiters check on you multiple times to make sure you’re OK. They made the perfect suggestions. Found the perfect wine for me. It’s a great location.
