Menu was good hard to decide, both salmon selections were farmed, so selected the fried coconut shrimp which was outstanding! Hubby had the filet and kept raving about it!
Server seemed new and not quite with it, I had to tell her what was on her drink menu and she had to check with chef several times on our normal questions?
I would definitely recommend going, I wanted to try the abolone but the market price of $120 was just too lavish! I’m sure it was great but will have to try when I win a jackpot of $10000 or more!!"See More
"Made reservation on Open Table for Saturday evening for 5 for a birthday/pre-concert celebration, as there were two concerts in town and knew it would be hard to get in anywhere. Received cancellation of my reservation via email, so called and was told Alpine Union doesn't take reservations on weekends. I told them they should note this on Open Table to avoid confusion. I figured we would just have to take our chances. However, I received a call from the manager, Max, who said he would be happy to accommodate us and was very pleased by that personal touch. When I arrived and said I had a reservation, I was told they don't take reservations, but as soon as I mentioned Max's name, they escorted us to a table in the back where it was quiet. The experience was great - from the food selection, pricing, food and service. We will be back and appreciate honoring our reservation!"See More
"We have a vacation home here in South Lake Tahoe. The Sage Room is hands down a favorite we never miss coming to. Service, food and ambience is hard to beat. We have been coming hear for many years, and don’t see that ever changing."See More
