- DdianeRaleigh / Durham / Chapel Hill •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoThis was our first visit and Perry's lived up to all the hype we've heard. The four of us opted for the smorgasbord and it did not disappoint! Everything on it was delicious. We actually couldn't eat it all. The spinach salad w/ warm bacon dressing was the best we've had in a long time! The lobster bisque was amazing. Also loved the mushroom side and the bread. But their signature pork chop was the star of the show! WOW! So much flavor and cooked to perfection. We would have made a better decision to eat in the dining room b/c there was so little room on our bar table, but we made it work. Our only dislike was our server. While her service was good, her disposition and/or attitude was lacking in every way. She never once smiled. Had an attitude the entire time no matter how hard we tried to find the positive side of her. To put it honestly, she was a drag. Did she do her job, absolutely! But a little friendliness would go a long way to make our experience more enjoyable. At those prices, I expect a lot more from our server. We still tipped her very generously, but if we dine in again and get her, our tip will be more in line with how we feel when we walk away. I once had a chef tell me that a "bad cup of coffee could ruin an excellent meal." Oh, and she had no idea what B&B (Benedictine and Brandy) is. After dinner husband order an espresso w/a B&B "up." It was delivered together in a cosmo glass. The brandy should have been served separately in a brandy snifter. Forgivable, yes. But at a fine dining restaurant the servers should have knowledge of after dinner liquors or at least the bartender should know. High expectations in line with such a high end establishment. We also let the hostess know how much we enjoyed the food, but were disappointed with the unfriendly service.More infoPerry's Steakhouse & Grille - RaleighPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Raleigh•4.5
- MMichaelVIPTampa / Central Florida West •34 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoSouthern Cooking with an uplifting flavor profile Appetizer Fried Green Tomatoes. This is generally not my favorite dish, but the waiter recommended it as one of the staples. Every slice of tomato was perfectly crisp with a consistent golden color and crunch exterior with a tender, tangy interior. The bold flavors that topped the tomatoes between the spice of the Voodoo Sauce, the creamy richness of the blue cheese dressing, and the smoky crunch of bacon, this was a perfect blend, creating a remarkable rendition of a classic that even I loved. Entrees Braised Beef & Egg Sandwich. The main ingredient of the dish – braised beef – truly melted in your mouth, coupled with the creamy texture and flavor of the Havarti cheese, creating the perfect base for this complex dish. The light and fluffy scrambled eggs, coupled with the baby arugula, brought a creamy, peppery freshness that truly balanced the richness of the beef and cheese. This sandwich was placed between two slices of toasted challah bread bun, which provided a sweetness that complemented the overall savory aspects of the dish. Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf. Comfort food at its finest. The meatloaf was juicy and full of flavor, wrapped in the crispy, smoky bacon, creating a nice crunch with every bite you took. The rich gravy poured over the meatloaf was a spark of deliciousness, paired with onions to add a touch of sweetness to the dish. The flavors were well-balanced and really raised the bar for a classic meatloaf. Nestled in a bed of mashed potatoes and a side of shaved brussel sprouts brought in all the necessary components to provide perfect harmony in the entire dish. Overall If you are in need of comfort food and don’t want the same ole dishes, you need to take a chance and go to Lucky 32, which really raises the bar and the expectations of a true take on classic southern cuisine.More infoLucky 32 Southern Kitchen - CaryPrice: Moderate• American• Cary•4.7
- EErrolRaleigh / Durham / Chapel Hill •4 reviews5.0Dined on 14 Jan 2025Our visit to Lilyann's can be summed up in one word...outstanding! The dining experience is like none other in the area. From their wine and drink selections to their desserts it was obvious that every detail had been considered. Our tornadoes of beef, tender and flavorful, were cooked just as ordered, the bacon mac and cheese that we chose to accompany it was excellent. The bleu cheese dressing elevated our salad choice to memorable. I am giving out of superlatives, but I really enjoyed the delicious bread. It was warm and flavorful and added so much to the meal. Our server was very knowledgeable, personable and her attention to our needs made the evening go so smoothly- attentive but not smothering. All their desserts appeared to be yummy but be sure to try the frozen banana split ice cream sandwich with the meringue topping. If we could give Lilyann's more than 5 stars we would.More infoLilyann's SteakhousePrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Rocky Mount•4.8
