Restaurants near Downtown Silver Spring

This isn’t my first experience at a Matchbox location but it’s my first time at the silver spring location. First and foremost the service was amazing! Alex was our server and me and my wife couldn’t say enough about how above and beyond he went to deliver exemplary service! it’s my wife’s birthday and our server, as well as the store manger Tracy really made her day! food was great and came out fast, music was nice! 10/10 will be back!!!!

This was the third time eating here. When I visit Silver Spring, MD, I prebook my meetings to have lunch here. The food, service and ambiance is wonderful.

I enjoyed dinner last night at Miss Toya (Silver Spring) a lot. This restaurant has always had good food, but the service has frequently been lackluster at best. Last night, the service experience rose to the level of the superb food. Our server was attentive and checked back frequently. I had the pork chops with macaroni and cheese and collard greens as my sides. Everything was delicious, although the greens could have been warmer. I'm looking forward to returning in the near future.

Birthday weekend officially kicked off at The Breakfast Club in Silver Spring, Maryland, and BABYYYY… WE HAD A TIME! 🎂🥂✨ Baby cousin and I decided to celebrate our birthdays together, and if you know us, you already know we were going to have a good time! We’re 19 years apart, but when we get together, the age gap disappears because the vibes are ALWAYS there. And The Breakfast Club gave us the perfect place to start our birthday celebration. From the moment we got there, the energy was GOOD. The restaurant was definitely giving brunch, birthday, good food, good drinks, and good people. It was a little loud where we were sitting because we were right behind a pretty big party, but honestly? We weren’t bothered at all. We can vibe with anybody! 😂 We ended up enjoying their energy too because that’s just how we are. And then came the BIRTHDAY SURPRISE! 🎉 Our waiter came through and made sure we felt special. I wish I could remember his name because he deserves TENS ACROSS THE BOARD! Seriously! 👏🏽 He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were good throughout our experience. Then they came out and SANG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BOTH OF US and brought us a little birthday cake! 🎂 Listen… I was looking around and I didn’t see them doing that for everybody, so we definitely felt like the birthday girls in that moment! 😂 That little touch meant a lot and made the experience even more memorable. Now let’s talk about the FOOD because THAT deserves its own conversation! I ordered the French toast and chicken with the sugar glaze, and when I tell you that French toast was MADE TO PERFECTION?! Whew! 🙌🏽 It was sweet, flavorful, and had the perfect texture. It was NOT soggy, which is a major thing for me when it comes to French toast. That sugar glaze took it to another level, and paired with the chicken? SO GOOD. Definitely something I would order again.
