The Bodega is always a great place to take family and friends. Had my father’s 84th birthday there and my Mother 80th birthday there. Always great food and drinks.

Our menu choices turned out much better than expected. Kudos to the chefs. Easily equal to Michelin starred restaurants we visited over the years. Rack of lamb was so tender I told the waitress that I could have cut it with a butterknife (as compared to the cleaver knife supplied). Nancy loved the foie gras (who wouldn't?) The desert choices were "icing on the cake". Only slightly one off-note. We were attending a concert that evening, one supported by the generosity of the Pragers and Bluenote.. We wanted to drink less wine than usual because of the potential for drowsiness during the performance. Wanting to experience the pleasure of wine-pairing choices from the wine steward. I asked if we could share a single tasting. The answer was no! We then shared 3oz tastings of my selections for each of two courses. A simple solution would be for the wine pairings to be available for each individual menu selection. You set the price. Not possible? A $360 tab suggests otherwise.

I would give the ambiance 10 stars if I could. Salute to a bygone era. The place is perfect, the people perfect. Note: It is a scotch tasting bar so the food and other drinks menu is small but tasty. Burger and fries are awesome.
