Nines is an unfussy neighborhood spot focused on quality food and drink, excellent service, comfort, and ease. The cooking references the Riviera (both the French and Italian) and the farms that surround this neighborhood, centering the kitchen's wood oven. There are two outdoor areas overlooking the little town center of beautiful Germantown. The bar is lively (and chic!) but the atmosphere is family-friendly.

The Hoffman House restaurant, in the scenic Hudson Valley, opened for business in June of 1977. The building is a fine example of Early American Dutch rubble architecture featuring wide planked random width board floors, a fire place in each of the main rooms and many small multi-level rooms.The Hoffman House is located at the corner of the historic Stockade district in Kingston NY, and once served as fortification and a lookout. Today the Hoffman House serves a continental fare, featuring steaks, fresh seafood, pasta specialties and homemade artisan desserts. An open-air, beautifully landscaped garden patio, enhances outdoor dining in the summer, while you can cozy up next to one of our three large stone fireplaces in the winter.

    We ate outside for the first time this season and it’s special to enjoy a dinner overlooking the Hudson River. The food is always so good and the salads and greens are really fresh. The staff is delightful. It’s a lovely dining experience.

    The food was delicious- top marks for the grilled carrots and grilled corn. The mango/vodka frozen drink was perfect for the hot weather. We were here on Jazz Night and listened to a fabulous group of musicians. The volume was too loud for conversation (I’m old so take that into consideration) but we enjoyed ourselves regardless. Our server was very good - I forgot their name (I’m old!) Then a drink in an Adirondack chair right by the river. Wonderful evening.
