We have been to Rincón del Bife several times and enjoyed it each time. Today’s visit was for Sunday buffet brunch, which features a number of typical Mexican buffet dishes, omelets to order, barbecued ribs, , brisket, pancetta, crepes, juices, fruit, sweets, etc., along with bottomless mimosas and coffee. The service is outstanding, and at $305 pesos (around $16 US) the price is hard to beat. One important note, the brunch buffet is available only until about noon. Thereafter you can order from an interesting variety of breakfast dishes or a bit later still the regular menu of steaks, ribs, chops, pastas etc.

Excellent roast pear, peaches and mixed green salad with goat cheese and hazelnuts. The dressing was wonderful Really fantastic pork ribs with arugula, mashed potatoes and caramelized onions. There was supposed to be celery pure and cauliflower pure in the potatoes but I did not detect any. The portion was large and the meat tasty and tender. The three seafood tostadas looked wonderful when they arrived and the one with shrimp was outstanding. That with robalo was disappointing because the toping was a simple ceviche with very little fish and that was difficult to taste as there was too much chile in my opinion. The third, I expected to be my favorite because it featured crab. I was disappointed because the (snow?) crab meat was flavorless. The setting was lovely and the service was quite good.
