Lunch experience on par with many business lunches at Ella - good service, good food. However, on this occasion, being seated next to a 15-foot high service podium, an ornamental feature fell off the top shelf onto stacks of glassware and sprayed around our two-seat table, and several tables next to us. Thankfully, we had risen and were about to walk out. Have to say, I'm more than a little disappointed that no one with the restaurant bothered to check on whether any of the flying glass hit me or my guest. A nearby server in mid-service to his table basically said, "oh we'll take care of it." No, neither I or we caused the ornament to fall...!

What a great day! The restaurant made a few mistakes but fixed them with amazing customer service. This was a delightful day. I am impressed with the experience and will go back again! My salad was delish and the cookies which I didn’t photograph were divine. You can also get them in the gift shop! A special place. I plan to take a floral class in the future! Thank you

Celebrated friends 77th birthday at Echo & Rig. Greeted by a very personable hostess who seated upon complete party arrival. Server came over to us and asked if we had previously dined at the restaurant. Some of us had, but most was first time. We ordered drinks, then ordered our meals. Two of us ordered the rib steak caps; only to learn they only had one cap left. It was 6:50 pm and only one left?? Others ordered the salmon, ceasar salad, calamari, and the rib tips. Since there was only one rib cap left, I ordered the bavette steak. The salads were large, the calamari was tasty. The rib tips were tasty, but small portion. Pass on this dish f you and your party are hungry. The steaks are also small portion. The bavvette was tough. Birthday boy to had the last rib steak cap said he’s had better. It was a small cap. For a steak house, you would think the steaks would be great; but they’re not. Service was excellent!! Noisy restaurant, mostly a bar. They did gift a dessert to birthday boy; nice gesture. We wouldn’t be back to this so called steakhouse. Again, server and his aids were excellent .

We ate in the outside patio, and it was comfortable even in the chilly, windy weather outside. Service was excellent. One of us had the scallops -- 10/10!, the other the duck breast, 6/10. A great place to celebrate special occasions (birthday in our case).

Absolutely wonderful meal. Great selection of dishes, well prepared and great ingredients. The beet salad was fantastic. Has simple gnocchi with truffle butter and it was perfectly made. Many other great dishes at our table. Desserts also fantastic and good wine list. Frankly, best restaurant in Davis.
