Restaurants near Kinsol Trestle

We have been to Boom and Batten many times, it used to be a favourite of ours. The last three visits he have had the food has been subpar, and the service mediocre. Drinks are always delicious, but at 21$ a pop I should hope so. My meal had been left under the heat lamp for some time before it was delivered to the table, not the first time I have experienced reheated food from Boom and Batten. I think we will be taking a break from what was our favourite restaurant.

We are visiting from the uk and spent time at Malahat skywalk. I noticed the restaurant on the map and thought it could be a special treat before moving on to our next accommodation. The restaurant was everything I hoped it would be . The views were amazing. We had a wonderful table in front of the window. The service was exemplary. The food well that was special so worth the visit

A consistent favourite spot for a special meal or to impress visitors. Food is always gourmet and beautifully presented. Waiting staff are consistently knowledgeable and friendly.

From the moment you enter the dining room you are treated with kindness. Our server was very attentive, knowledgeable and courteous. She informed us they have both vegetarian and standard offerings and made sure to ask of any allergies in our group. We had the good fortune to be seated on the veranda overlooking the garden which was delightful. I highly recommend experiencing tea at Butchart.

The ambiance and service were great. The setting is magnificent and that’s why we came back. The food was good, one of us had rack of lamb which was hearty, tasty and good quality. The other had halibut, fresh and tasty but accompaniments were a bit on the light side and vegetable serving was small. So food 8/10, service 10/10, ambiance 9/10 and overall 8/10
