We always make sure there is a choice on the menu for Vegetarians, and we ask that when booking you let us know of any dietary requirements so we can tailor that evening’s menu appropriately.

Specialising in seafood, a window table affords wonderful views of the evening sea whilst enjoying excellent seafood dishes. Relaxed meal but booking essential as the restaurant has gained a well deserved reputation. Can’t comment on their lunch experience as we dined in the evening but thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

An absolutely outstanding meal at The Potted Lobster. We have been visiting for about 8 years, if we are staying locally. Once our accommodation was booked, securing a table here, was the first thing I did. (Managed to get a table 8 days in advance, for a Monday evening. Best to book as early as you can though!) Friendly, unintrusive service. Food was absolutely excellent quality, and plenty of choice available. Starter of scallops and boudin noir and the potted lobster special. Mains of hake and halibut. Superb quality produce and cooking. (All specials apart from the potted lobster.) Dining area was a little loud due to a party of 12, but it didn’t affect our experience. You will not be disappointed if you dine here!

Beautiful decor and ambience. Very enjoyable meal with friends. Hotel very smart as is the "Tipi" in grounds which served as an atmospheric pre dinner/live music precursor to the restaurant dinner. Ate two nights on the trot...which says it all really
