Restaurants near Mel's Funway Park

We had Ashley as our server... she was amazing! The food also was wonderful! I had the ribeye, my husband had the wonderful chicken and the kids had burgers... all amazing!

The cheese plate appetizer was delicious. My wife had the lamb and I had the braised cod and both were absolutely PHENOMENAL. The salad with watermelon was perfect with a Reisling vinaigrette. Best meal we’ve had in years, the chef’s really know what they are doing, we’ll be back soon!!

We went to Buckley's to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. Not sure what took us so long as a former boss recommended it many years ago. It did not disappoint. We had the ranch potato chips for an appetizer (the ranch dip was spectacular). My husband had the ribeye and I had surf (crab stuffed shrimp) & turf. Both of our meals were cooked to perfection. Being that it was a celebration, we had to get dessert...opting for it to go. Highly recommend our choices of flourless chocolate cake and tall cake. We will be back for sure to try something else on the menu (possibly for his birthday but definitely as an annual spot to celebrate our anniversary, if not sooner). P.S. service was outstanding

We had dinner on Labor Day afternoon on the patio. There was a guitarist playing and singing tunes from the 70s and 80s, very good selections and a good performer. The food was very tasty. The cauliflower appetizer was unusual and really delicious. So was the citrus shrimp appetizer. Both appetizers were generous servings. Wife enjoyed her cocktail and they have a good wine list. Wife had a grilled crabcake sandwich & I had swordfish kebab. Both were good.  Waitress was very attentive and pleasant. 

My wife and I have dined at the Foundry a few times. All those times were great. The atmosphere, service and meals we ordered were impeccable. So it was only natural for us to try the Sunday Brunch. Unfortunately, the brunch fell a little short for me. I tried the prime rib and found it was tough to cut and tough chew. The prime rib also had an herbed outer rub crust which I could not eat. So the prime rib was swing and a miss. With that said, , we will continue to dine at the Foundry and stay with the meals that we know.
