Built in 1880, The Inn was at one time a brothel, until it was raided by federal officers. The Inn was a favorite site of cowboys and teamsters, who appreciated the fine foods and jovial atmosphere.Over 100 years later, the Inn at Tres Pinos is now a San Benito County Historical Landmark, carefully restored by owner, Mike Howard. The ambiance is intimate, rustic, and elegant. It’s country with a touch of class, and decorated in a style that is a reflection of Mike’s personal interest. Mike's grandfather taught him the the art of fly-fishing, and every year the family still fishes together at the Big Wood River in Sun Valley, Idaho. Mike married Mary along the Big Wood River in 2010, and the Inn has become a true family affair. Mike’s philosophy is “Keep it fresh and keep it simple.” His staff is personally hand picked and will make every effort to meet your expectations. The Inn at Tres Pinos is the only four-star restaurant in San Benito Country.

It was a bit slow for 6:15 but it did pick up. Friendly and attentive service. I wish I remembered her name, but she did have deep purple hair. Food was HOT and delivered quickly. The menu has changed yet still holds on to some of the favorites. Most places it is you get what you paid for. For Tarpy's I honestly felt we got more than we paid for. Did I mention was also half price night on select bottle wines?

We had a great meal. The beef filet carpaccio with shaved truffles was melt in your mouth delicious. All the pasta dishes were fantastic, pork fettuccine, wild boar pappardelle, and the lobster ravioli. For dessert we got the Tiramisu and the cannolis which were both really good. We had the Eberle Cabernet Sauvignon to have with the meal which was also great. Strong recommendation!!! A must if you are in Paso Robles.

This was such a beautiful experience. The setting is amazing. The wow factor when you walk in and see the expansive views so high over the ocean is breathtaking. The staff greet you with open arms welcoming you in. The service was incredible and the food was outstanding. I brought my cousin there for her birthday, she lives in SoCal and she was thrilled. We had an amazing time and enjoyed every part of our experience.

The ambiance alone makes this a worthwhile spot. It overlooks the ocean and is a STUNNING place to have a meal. Brunch was insanely expensive for what we had ($36 for two tiny plates of breakfast tofu), so I might reconsider my order next time. There were a few people talking on phones but it was otherwise quiet with soft music playing. Definitely a special experience.

Lucia is a great restaurant with a very attentive and accommodating staff. Clearly the best in Carmel Valley and certainly among the best on the Peninsula. Great menu and service. First class. They handle gluten free requests with ease, and also with innovation. Prices are reasonable considering the overall quality of the menu, the service, and venue.
