- JJonathanvipWashington, D.C. Area •39 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoSuperb wine-tasting dinner with Marc Hochar of Chateau Musar- generally acknowledged to be far and away the finest winery in Lebanon. Chef preparations of various Lebanese specialties, mostly not part of Zaytinya’s regular offerings, were outstanding. Particularly the one fish course, red snapper; and a lovely medium rare roast sliced lamb. The wines, including several older library ‘01 and ‘09 vintages were drinking very well, especially once they’d spent a bit of time in the glass. Kudos all around to the kitchen, staff and especially to Marc Hochar, whose 4th generation family-owned winery has come to symbolize the best in Lebanese wines , and which are world class as well. He made an engaging and very informative dinner companion at our table too..More infoZaytinya - DCPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Penn Quarter•4.7
- PPatriciavipWashington, D.C. Area •24 reviews5.0Dined on 16 Oct 2024Another delightful experience at tis restaurant. The smallish -- but sharable -- tapioca dumplings and chili wontons -- are a delight. Each of the sharable mains that I have experienced have felt like a return to Southeast Asia. No one who loves perfectly prepared South East Asian cuisine should pass up the opportunity to dine here. Service is cheerful and warm but unobtrusive, and all the servers seem to be well versed on the menu. Cocktails are original and refreshing. This is an experience not to be missed. Nothing posh but the food! Yummy!More infoBaan MaePrice: Expensive• Asian• Shaw•4.8
