A couple notes about the Taverna-We stop taking day of reservations after 4pm. Please call the restaurant after 4pm.We do not accept parties of 4 people or more. We are a small restaurant with only 22 seats and cannot accommodate larger parties. Established in April of 2015, The Taverna serves authentic Greek fare while remaining true to our Greek roots. Our menu highlights what is available to us locally and seasonally. Our wine list is one of the largest all Greek wine lists in the United States which features natural, orange and organic wines. We offer a unique dining experience that can only be found in a few select locations in the country. We welcome you to our little Taverna in Brunswick!

Located in Portland's Old Port District, Fore Street opened in June, 1996. The interior surrounds a unique brick and soapstone hearth with a wood-burning oven, grill and turnspit; visible from most tables. We believe that good food travels the shortest possible distance between the farm and the table. Our menu changes every day and is founded upon the very best raw materials from a community of Maine farmers, fisherman, foragers and cheese makers. Most of the Maine foods are organically grown or harvested wild, each brought to us at the peak of its season.     This restaurant is a real jewel of a caliber one doesn't expect to find in a small town. The menu is full of interesting dishes that you're not going to find just anywhere, the wine list is a great selection of Greek wines that--again--you're not going to find in most restaurants even in big cities, and the chef does a wonderful job with vegetables that in most places are an after thought. Not here. If you're in Brunswick, this is a definite go to.

    Great seafood place.. the clam chowder was so good.. buttery and full of clams and chunky potatoes.. I had the crab quesadillas as my dinner and it was the perfect size.. a hint of spice and lots of yummy crab.. my husband had the large salad with chicken and finished it! Chicken was well cooked and tasty.. I also loved the video showing the history of the restaurant!

    The clam chowder was excellent. My bowl with Korean Pork was excellent. May I suggest adding a bit more pork to the bowl because it was superior flavor.
