Experience dining approximately 30 feet below ground in historic caverns that were hand built in the 1800's. Accidentally discovered in 2018 during the building of our parent restaurant, Hudson and Essex, we have refurbished the caverns once used to store beer before air conditioning into a one of a kind dining experience. Every Friday and Saturday night we provide an 8 course dinner with wine pairings from our home winery ( Cypress Hill Winery ) using wines made with California grapes. Prepaid reservation only.     The Alcove is very unassuming on the outside, but the interior is exquisite. My wife and I have driven by this place many, many times and never really thought twice about it, but the interior is as nice, or nicer, than some of the fanciest restaurants in the big cities of Cincinnati, Cleveland, or Columbus. The food was traditional, but absolutely delicious. The appetizers we tried were great. The French onion soup was rich and flavorful. We each had steaks that were perfectly wood grilled, and some of the best steaks we've had in a long time.
