Our waiter Brian was exceptional, informative and knew the menu very well. He gave us the best recommendations and we are extremely satisfied after dining at The James. The steak, pork chop and fusilli were great entrees! We will be coming back for more and telling everyone we know about this place. It wasn’t loud, beautiful environment and decor. Our table was lopsided in the beginning and Brian went above and beyond to fix the table, he didn’t have to do that but his veteran work ethic speaks for itself. Thank you for such a pleasant experience! The hostesses were professional and courteous - thank you for your service and for welcoming us into your home!

Food was terrific but the place was noisy. Hard to have a dinner conversation.

First time here - restaurant was beautiful, food was outstanding, live music playing... you really felt like you went someplace special. We all tried something different, bone in pork chop, filet mignon, chicken cutlet parm, shrimp scampi and a pasta with a bolognese sauce. All out of this world. Waiter brought us over a second bread/cheese/olive board. Very thoughtful. Desserts was so good! We really enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely be back!

Wow! I wish we could have discovered this beautiful restaurant sooner. We were greeted with kindness and we were seated in a beautiful spot outdoors for our wedding anniversary. We requested a nice view on our reservation and the view was beautiful. We ordered the clam chowder and it was delicious. The scallop entree was cooked perfectly and my husband enjoyed it very much. I ordered the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly. I wish I knew our servers name. He was awesome. I appreciated the smiles. We ended with the orange pistachio cake! I love trying new things and this is something very unique. I’m so happy we decided on this cake, I’ve never had anything like it and it was delicious. The timing of our dishes being served was on point and the restaurant is very clean. There was a lovely lady who said goodnight to us when we exited the restaurant. We highly recommend The Lakehouse. We ordered the chicken quesadillas for the appetizer. For dinner we ordered the steak, mashed potatoes, broccoli (one of us substituted for the mac n cheese). We loved the food. We loved the view. It was beautiful! We will definitely be back!!
