Great food and service at a spectacular location.

Mainz isn’t exactly known as a culinary destination, which is why Wilma Wunder stands out so much. Every time I’m in Mainz, I make it a point to stop by, and it has been consistently excellent. The food was outstanding from start to finish. Every dish was beautifully presented, but more importantly, it delivered on taste. Everything was cooked perfectly, and every ingredient tasted fresh. The setting makes the experience even better. Wilma Wunder has a large outdoor seating area with direct views of both the Mainz Cathedral (Dom). Combined with the tasteful, thoughtfully designed décor inside, it’s clear that real effort went into creating an atmosphere that’s both relaxing and memorable. Wilma Wunder is the kind of restaurant that would have no problem holding its own in one of the world’s most competitive dining scenes, such as my home, Manhattan. Great food, excellent execution, a beautiful location, and an inviting atmosphere make it a place I look forward to visiting every time I’m in Mainz.
