- RRichardPhiladelphia County •28 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe have dined at Cafe Loren several times in the past 3 yrs, but this particular meal was truly magnificent. 3 different apps, 3 different main courses, and 2 different desserts were all great. Service ( McKenna) was perfect. Its expensive, but well worth it, and really not a bad value , all things considered. The space itself is nothing special, but the rotating artwork is always interesting, and after all its all about the food.More infoCafe LorenPrice: Expensive• American• Avalon•4.9
- JJohn RvipNew York City •24 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe went there on Friday night at 5:30 pm and we were seated in a wonderful area of the restaurant. We were greeted warmly by all and our waitress gave us all the specials which were lengthy. She had them all down pat. My wife and I ordered appetizers of Sausage and Broccoli Rabe and Melon and Prosciutto with Honey peppered sauce. Both were excellent. The ambiance and mood music was low enough to talk and still enjoyed the music itself. We both ordered the the Chicken Gamberi in a Rose sauce. The meal was exceptional with the chicken being the so tender that it almost melted in your mouth. I had cheesecake and cappuccino to top off the dinner. We went to another similar restaurant a few blocks away days earlier and Il Posto blew it away in every category that you look for. We vacation once a year in Avalon and Il Posto will be our first, second and third dinner stops. Bravo 👏More infoIl PostoPrice: Expensive• Italian• Avalon•4.5
- RRayBaltimore / Maryland •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoThe entire meal experience was awesome! Marco Tarantino, the owner and chef, was such a great host when he made his famous “Cacio e Pepe” on the wheel table side. He told the story of how this tradition came to be from his hometown of Rome, Italy. Our waitress was amazing! She did such a great job taking care of us and was extremely friendly. We will definitely be back in October 2024 when we return to that area for a week. 5 Stars for sure! The Stowell FamilyMore infoSpiaggettaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Stone Harbor•4.7
- JJoeNew Jersey •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoPolpo never ceases to impress me. Food and service were both outstanding! My fiancée got her usual gnocchi sorrentina, and I decided to try the bone in Short rib special. I cleaned my entire plate. The short rib was extremely tender and flavorful. I subbed risotto for the fettuccini that was offered and risotto was definitely the way to go. Mushroom Demi glace was on point too. Our server handled his large section very well and the support staff was attentive too. If you’re looking for a fine dining establishment that’s worth your hard earned money, go to Polpo!More infoPolpo - AvalonPrice: Expensive• Italian• Avalon•4.4
