Alder & Oak is a wood-fired Aegean and Mediterranean restaurant in Jacksonville's Brooklyn neighborhood, inside HUB Brooklyn at 400 Riverside Avenue. Every dish is cooked without seed oils — only Iliada extra virgin olive oil from Kalamata, Greece, and grass-fed beef tallow.     I’d been to the bar at blue fish many a times but this was my first time sitting down at a table for full service dinner. Josephyne was absolutely stellar. Great smile and service. Food was banging as usual. Sock it to me shrimp, wedge salad, raw oysters, charbroiled oysters, calamari. Couldn’t recommend enough!

    Alder and Oak offers a good variety of Mediterranean dishes. My husband ordered the Moussaka, and I had the Lamb Shank. Both were delicious. Our server couldn't have been more helpful. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

    This was all out first time going to Asado. What an incredible experience! The dinning room is beautiful and modern. They payed a great deal of attention to every detail. Our server mauricio was so helpful and fun to work with. The shrimp appetizer was some of the best shrimp I ever had. My husband and I shared the Porterhouse was hands down delicious! I highly recommend Asado Life Jacksonville. Even to sit at the bar for their craft cocktails and light dinner looks like so much fun. We can’t wait to get back and try out more dishes
