The Ivy restaurant has been a firm fixture on London’s dining and social scene since 1917. The restaurant and private room upstairs are the epitome of real glamour. A shimmering central dining bar in the restaurant draws admiring attention, and the signature harlequin stained-glass windows, oak panelling and striking contemporary art collection ensure the longevity of this very British of dining institutions. Executive Chef Gary Lee creates balanced seasonal menus, featuring Ivy classics, but accounting for today’s tastes, incorporating more Asian dishes, salads and vegetables, and the advent of a “sea and shells” section. Director Fernando Peire leads a strong and experienced team to deliver the unfaltering service for which The Ivy has become well known over the years. The Ivy welcomes customers without reservations at the central dining bar, where the A La Carte and Set menus are both served.

Below street-level, the restaurant has a bar area offering bar dining for up to 10 people, serving a variety of sake brands and a diverse range of cocktails including the signature Frozen Yuzu Margarita, alongside the restaurant’s varied sharing food menu. It was not the first time I visited the restaurant. I booked a table for my birthday. I know that in this place you can always enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant, impeccable service and very delicious food. The only thing that disappointed me this time was that they forgot to bring the supplement, but put it in the bill, I found it only at home, unfortunately. I hope that this was due to the very large number of people in the restaurant. It still did not spoil the Birthday mood and I highly recommend this place. I will definitely return to this restaurant

Love this restaurant! The food is always delicious (we had lobster and sole) and the service is wonderful. We were first seated next to a fairly loutish table and the position of the seats meant I looked at them rather than my husband. I spoke to someone and they immediately moved us to a corner table. Had a wonderful evening!

We were greeted by lovely staff and taken to a lovely booth style table. Perfect service throughout, food didn’t take too long to arrive and was perfect in every way. We were there to celebrate my mums 70’s which I had made a note of on the booking and at the end of the meal the lovely waiter brought over a special birthday small dessert with a candle and four forks for us all to enjoy a little piece of. Made a birthday meal very special in a busy restaurant. Many thanks!
