Another visit to Emilia’s Crafted Pasta Restaurant but for lunch this. The result another excellent meal except that i tried the Carbonara this time and as I hoped it was really good and you cannot beat fresh pasta in a proper Italian restaurant. Highly recommended and I will be a regular from now on.

The spectacular view and location drew us to this place, but the food was definitely up to par! We were seated outside in the terrace as reserved, which included blankets for each seat in case it got chilly. We went for the 2-course set menu, which was excellent value. For starter, we ordered the goat’s curd salad and robata grilled chicken skewers, both of which we enjoyed! The skewers were particularly tasty, with just the right spiciness. As for mains, we tried the shepherd's pie, grilled halloumi and grilled sea bass. It was my first time trying shepherd's pie so my opinion may not be representative, but I found it absolutely delightful, creamy and flavourful! Being able to pour my own gravy from a lovely little saucer was a nice touch too. The halloumi was a pleasant surprise - this dish contains many different ingredients that pair together so nicely that even the pickiest out of us enjoyed it! The sea bass was cooked to perfection, melt-in-the-mouth soft, but was perhaps the least impressive of the items we ordered. If I had to pick again, I would struggle to decide between the pie and the halloumi. Plating was all fantastic too. Wine and beer options available were fairly priced, the ones we picked (The Ivy Craft Lager and a glass of Côtes du Rhône) were both enjoyable. Service was attentive and pleasant (and nicely dressed!), quite formal and polite, which made the experience feel classy. There was a little mix-up with the drinks that was promptly fixed. The restaurant was gorgeous inside as well - even the toilets were! We had a truly pleasant meal, definitely recommended if you're visiting the area.

This is a very smart restaurant (but one where you can happily relax). The food and wine are very special, and the service very attentive without being at all intrusive. It is in a very attractive location.
