Restaurants near Towne Oil Station Historical

We’ve eaten at the restaurant several times over the years and the one thing that stands out is the food consistency and the weight staff attentiveness. We celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary last night. Our server, Lauren P was very helpful, very pleasant, left us alone and we needed to be left alone and came forward with suggestions about dinner. We started the meal off with the fermented duck fries- very good very filling. For dinner I had Chilean Seabass with mashed potatoes and cauliflower and broccoli. My wife had the sea scallops in the lemon cream sauce with papperdelle. Both are outstanding for dessert of course we had to have their famous bread pudding. Each had a glass of wine. I had an espresso and the meal was well worth it. The only critique if I had one at all was the lemon cream sauce with my wife’s scallops was a little thin. It could’ve been cooked a little longer and thickened up a bit, but if that’s the only complaint, I don’t have many.

We drove in an hour to town for an appointment and then had another WONDERFUL lunch at Max's Bistro. With the rain it seemed more people stayed much longer and it was a real happening place. Once again GREAT experience with the ambiance, food selections that were very delicious as always and their great staff. This is truly one of our top restaurants in Fresno.

Our server was the best! Julissa was attentive and made sure our meal was perfect. Her recommendation of a pomegranate martini was absolutely delicious. The manager, Tyler, was very friendly and checked on us. Food, service and ambience were all amazing.

Great waitress, friendly and helpful. Food was larger portions than expected. Good flavor on main dishes. Large dessert portions also. One was enough to share with table of 4.
